Hey man .. is it’s working well or not? Till r u using? What type of air compressor r u using? Can please suggest all these! I am diamond setter looking to buy a cheap one.. GRS is very expensive and I can’t afford it.. I want to use this for prong hammering . No other needs.. please suggest me .. help is appreciated .. thank you in advance 👍

Yeah dude, I hear ya. Throughout my life I've learned all kinds of skills from pinstriping and air-brushing to forging, casting and metal fabrication and shit gets expensive if you listen to what 'experts' suggest for tooling. I recently started learning push engraving because although I've found chemical etching and rotary tool engraving to be useful they just didn't quite have the high quality refined look I want. After going the 'pulse hand piece with a modified compressor' route I realized it doesn't have the oomph I need to cut deep into large pieces and I have no desire to do jewelry or hobo coins that 'affordable air gravers' are decent for and I can't justify sinking thousands of dollars into yet another hobby. So I've accepted the fact that I'll first have to learn how to make a legitimately powerful air graver like the Lindsey that really is a scaled down version of an air-hammer.

I also learn by watching others and experimenting, but you appear to learn quicker than me. You've made a lot of improvement for a couple of days. I also purchased this machine as I can't afford the high dollar one. I'm not able to get mine to build up any pressure yet so I'll get to play with mine once I get it working. If you don't mind a suggestion. I don't know if you are doing it in the air because of where you have your camera, but it may help if you steady the piece on your bench. That way you are only having to steady the graver and you can rotate the work without having to steady it. It also will help you keep the graver at the correct angle. I look forward to seeing more of your work and congratulations on your success so far. I know you will continue to improve quickly.

good advice, I appreciate it. I need to get more time in on the graver, but... sadly i ust dont have as much time as i wish i did. you said your struggling to get pressure to build up, im sure your tying to adjust it with the knobs. perhaps its the line? I would love to hear how your journey is going, and learn more. and thank you for the advice!

Do you happen to know if the hand piece will accept quick-change collets, like those available from GRS?

I don't. The thing cost less then one of those quick change set ups. But it's a winner so far. Sorry for delay in response

Hey so I didn't realize it but this machine comes with a 2 handles and 8 quick change collects. I thought they were just replacements. Then I realized these people didn't put in redundancy on anything. Must be a use lol. So, hope this helps

Thats the nice thing about this. I went from have 0 experience and about homeless (sober living) to where I'm at today in 2 years. It's not easy, but if you're stuck with nothing else to do with your life you can save up and you can get tools like this and it will work. I plan to put out more of these types of reviews and add tutorials and such. I hope this has been helpful
