Tip from the jet engine world ("articulating" borescopes kits used to be suitcase-sized, I don't miss those days). If you need to reach out into a void while controlling the scope you can use rigid metal tubing (debur both ends) held however you like to support the scope then feed the scope through until/if you need the articulating feature which of course must be outside the tube.

I like it, I might have to try that!

A long time ago I purchased an OTC borescope for a lot of money. It served me well. Last year I bought a Chinese one off Amazon for a fraction of the price I paid for the OTC and it’s miles better. Was no HD scopes back then but these current ones are so good they make the Snap-on look pathetic (and I’m pro-Snap-on)!
@JimmyMakingitwork Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's amazing how good some of what we used to consider "low end tools" have gotten. Snap On makes some very good tools, but they have to be feeling the heat. Amazing how expensive they are getting while not really setting any new standards from what we've seen. I'll be using this horoscope camera in the shop and we'll see how it goes long term.

I just got mine and it doesn't work!!...the screen turned on and it says No Camera..can't find a video of anyone else with the same problem but I've come across some comments with the same problem.
@JimmyMakingitwork2 ай бұрын
Uh oh. Mine always says No Camera for about 5 seconds. Then pops up. I’d contact them about warranty.

@@JimmyMakingitwork...Well mine doesn't turn on at all..I contacted Vevor and they said I needed to tighten the camera...I'm not an idiot I know how to put it on and you can only tighten it so much... First and LAST TIME I'LL BUY ANYTHING FROM VEVOR!!!!

Looks like a great camera. The camera cable is just the right length for automotive work.

This seems like a really good camera. The only improvement I would have is that it’s be nice if it would connect to your phone instead of its own screen. Then the pictures save to your phone to email or text them, rather than upload from a memory card. Mind you, I might be becoming lazy too 😂
@JimmyMakingitwork Жыл бұрын
Haha! I have to spend more time with it and see if it is capable of sharing other than on the memory card. We took pictures of the screen with a phone for sharing once already. :)

Awesome review! That scope might also be useful especially for men over 50 yrs old every 3 years. :) Sorry, couldn't resist. I was researching to hear how to properly annunciate "Vevor." You sound good as a southern Floridian as "VEE - VORE." LOL... I don't think the first sylable is supposed to be pronounced with two "ee"s. Then again, I don't know.

The new and improved Vevor may contain a side view camera. But, as is, many professions will find it useful. HVAC, Plumbers, and, most of all, the Self-Proctologists.

Jimmy, I wanted to commend the crew of the USS Florida for their integral role in keeping the shipping lanes safer for commerce. You never know, some of the parts that you order may pass through the Suez Canal.@@JimmyMakingitwork
