The chemistry just wasn't the same when Lucy left the show. Miranda is awesome but she didn't have the comedic timing and chemistry like Lucy had with the lead.

I really enjoyed this but because I always have to find something to criticise I'd better get it over with. What's with the English ditching their regional expressions for American: "I'm done" "4 head for fored - forehead" "there you go" for "here you are"? I don't know any of the characters but the partners are great together.

Jane Voris Get over it--we have adopted many Americanisms over a long period. Many of these words were old English which they have kept, but we either dropped or altered---now we are taking them back via the media.

Funny show, but a female cop is stuck in her house with a possible killer and even cops don't get to have a gun? A guy gets in a woman's house and a gun is the ultimate equalizer. Beaning the guy with a teapot is funny for TV, though. Much more entertaining than the guy running out of the house scared to death.

@@xanthe4547 I have started to wonder if the English are afraid of losing all of Britain just like they did with many colonies, lol. Meaning: Their gun control laws don't even allow most police to carry a gun. A government that can easily control a populace due to lack of weapons is why the second amendment is inscribed in the US Constitution. Unfortunately, it seems many American gun nuts want a nazi USA, a la Heil tRump. Sorry, that went south quickly.... I'm just really devasted with what's happening to our democracy.

@@Frenchblue8 The person is definitely not a native English speaker and I'm guessing they are also using bad translation software. Different languages have different sentence structure sequence for the verbs, nouns, and adverbs..... this reads like a word for word translation where the sentence structure sequence was left in place and not changed for what it would be in English. Try to be understanding.

I cannot believe how absolutely terrible this series is. Toby Stephens is a fabulous dramatic actor but he is completely miscast in this role. Lame script, unlikeable louche character and poor delivery. He must need the money.
