I bought a flx12 for this season. I used a fl8 se last season and loved it. It was my 1st year useing any kinda fish finder/flasher. I can’t wait to get out once the ice is just a bit more thick. I bough the Flx 12 so my buddy’s can use my old fl8

Bought a FLX-12 3 weeks ago and have been slaming Panfish left and right!!!! Good bang for buck. No need for a FL-8 when you can add $30-$40 more and get the FLX-12. You guys at Vexilar need to add Zoom to this unit. And make the FL-8 a FLX-8 Basic

In your description you noted that the FLX 12 is a popular unit for open water as well. Do you have any personal experience using this unit on open water?

I love vexilar it's just to bad that the Pro-View Ice-Ducer Transducer is kinda a waist cause in order to get a larger cone means you have to turn up the gain which means in order to get bigger cone you pick up much more noise it would be sweet if they were just sold with the tribeam transducer that would be sweet. I have the FLX 28 it came with the Pro-View Ice-Ducer Transducer not wide enough for some of the fishing I do. But tri beam would be perfect. I love the new brushless series they are so quite. It was actually really weird to use at first but I was used to the fl-18

@@TheOregonOutlaw I just switched my battery to an Amped Outdoors lithium battery and really like it. Lighter, lasts way longer and charges super fast. Best update that I've done for my 15 year old FL 18 since I bought it. Also added the DT 100 depth finder that is a nice feature, too. Really like the Vexilar line of locators.
