My dad has had his fl-8 for 15 years. He is a hardcore panfish guy and usually goes both days on the weekends. He’s put the unit through it all and it still functions amazingly.

I recently bought an FLX-20 and many people have it. My dad has the FLX-28 and they are all reliable. I wish vexilar didn’t discontinue the FLX-22.

I’ve had my FL-8SE for 18 years on the ORIGINAL battery! I’m finally going with a lithium battery this year. And after 18 years of owning my fl-8 it has been flawless! Vexilar is an amazing product company!!!!

My dad has had his vexilar for as long as I could remember. The thing has been melted by a heater dropped a million times ran over and even dropped to the bottom of a lake. Thing works like new still. They are tanks!

I have been using the flx12 for the last 2 seasons and absolutely love it, it has helped me catch so many more fish. I use it anywhere from 6 feet to 100 feet with a 12 degree transducer and I have had 0 problems

Question, if you know your products have such a low failure rate why don't you have a longer warranty? A two year warranty doesn't suggest long reliability even if it's true.
@GonjaGoat Жыл бұрын
You will not find a more reliable flasher than this. My dads has been melted by the heater ran over dropped a million times it even been in the bottom of the lake. Thing still works like new.
@cohenj874 жыл бұрын
I have been using a vex for years, however unless they change their direction they won't be around for long with all the new technology out there from companies that are actually innovative. In 5 years no one will be using flashers and it will all be live tech from multiple different brands.
@nt_wicked_bunch27174 жыл бұрын
I’d say you are correct to a point. Yes there is better options but I seriously doubt technology like panoptics will come down in price to a point where non sponsored fishermen can justify replacing a flasher.
@cohenj874 жыл бұрын
@@nt_wicked_bunch2717 with more competition entering the market the prices are going to start to come down drastically. I've been using a FL-8 I bought almost 20 years ago and next winter when I move back to Minnesota I will be buying one of the live imaging set ups and I am not sponsored. But I can tell you I won't even be looking at Vexilar unless they have a fantastic live imaging system by then.
@nt_wicked_bunch27174 жыл бұрын
@@cohenj87 sure I totally agree and of course I want one too. I just don’t see the majority of ice fishermen spending 2k+ on it anytime soon.

Speak for yourself dude, i love flashers and Vexilar’s customer service and durability is fucking awesome! Hammered so many fish with just a base model fl-8.

Dead wrong in my opinion. Longevity is what kills the fancy units. I have 93sv and I default to my 28 routinely. It will outlast any unit built in the next 10 years. Have a Hondex that’s 30 yrs old and works well. Not the case for the new tech built today.
