Did you notice a couple of dry-fires in the clip at the end? It turns out that some 'heavy' gases do produce higher pressure than propane when measured at room temperature, but can actually produce /less/ pressure in colder weather, due to the physical characteristics of the refrigerants used. In this case, Swiss Arms 150 used at just above freezing was actually underperforming compared to straight propane. We hope to do a video on this and other quirks of airsoft propellants at some point in the future, but for now, propylene (sold as MAPP or MAP-Pro) remains a reliable higher-pressure alternative to propane for cold-weather use.

Your maintenance guides and general tech content has been an excellent resource, and watching your other video reviews has helped me further understand the functions of my replicas and how to self diagnose and solve issues that may arrise. As someone who's LAR had both its rear sight and receiver shear whilst being fixed (it was in because the screw behind the rear sight snapped in half, trapping half the thread inside it, I recommend replacing it with a stronger one) it's nice to know all the problems are showing their head in one go. Also the handguards the gun comes with can be turned into some serviceable non bipod handguards with some milliput epoxy putty, formed into the bipod cuts and also lining the inside to stop flex. Then just spray some truck bed liner, sand it smooth and spray it black. Looks spot on apart from the notch in the metal part.

Would you suggest getting a VFC GBBR for airsoft milsim games? I have several E&L AEGs but wanted to have a look into GBBRs. VFC is releasing a new Colt M16A2 variant with fixed carry handle in a few months here and I wanted to buy one. They are going for almost 700€ here. Should I give it a go or not?

Look at the internal version of it, if it’s Vfc gen3 gbbr m4 system is a good to go. The v3 is a very reliable system, even in cold wheather. I personally use a marui mws system, but the performance from Vfc v3 from a bcm my friend has it’s so good. Very realistic trigger and good snappy recoil.

@@leopauli5579 Thanks for the reply. Sadly the shop doesn't mention anything about which Gen this airsoft is. Do you have experience in what mods would make this Airsoft more realistic and accurate? I've seen the shop sells steel front sight bases and the NPAS Steel Bolt Carrier.
@leopauli55795 ай бұрын
@@2lbsTrigrPull be careful with the terms “realistic” and “accurate” in the same phrase in Airsoft gbbr’s, these are completely separated ways in my opinion. With a lot of steel parts like bcg’s, nozzles, etc the performance can be downgraded, gas efficiency and cold weather function could suffer with some of these upgrades and the gun will not be fun in a mil sim match. If it is your first gbbr gun do more research in the yt about what brand or system adequates to you. In my personal preference and based by the brands I have shoot with, vfc and tokyo marui are the top tier brands to out of the box playing. Vfc sometimes need some hop up and barrel upgrades to function really well but this is very easy to fix. Tokyo marui gbbr guns are more “out of the box play” guns in my experience, but have an unrealistic trigger feel and a less felt recoil. In vfc platform don’t make changes in the reciever internals or anything, the last batches of m4’s are good to go. If you want the max tier of realism, you should try to grab a vipertech in my opinion, but have in mind this a extremely high price brand and guns, and play with it doest will the best experience compared to the vfc and marui for exemple. Do a little research about this 3 brands I have mentioned, and look tho the pro’s and con’s of each system. Explosive enterprises here is a very good channel about gbbr replicas, but go to see some badabing videos here in yt to, it’s a very good channel and have a video comparing vfc and marui systems.

@NomadikProd5 ай бұрын
Howdy, I'm the GHM9 guy - tl;dr: The GHM is fine for what it is, but if you're not strapped for cash and don't need the GHM specifically, check out the maruyama APC9 or SCW9, theyre higher quality, have VFC AR parts compatibility, and are about the same price if not cheaper than fully decking out the GHM. Basically I'd say the GHM is a fun lil gun, havent had the chance to extensively test cold weather performance or adverse performance, but when its in ideal conditions it works quite well, I'd imagine it can operate in colder temps with a bit of love, but again I havent been able to test. Beyond that, the build quality is fine, but the maruyamas definitely have it beat, even after getting lambdas upgrades. The use case for the GHM is really if youre either just dipping a toe into GBBs and want something cheap and dirty(no upgrades, just stock gun) or you want a GBB to loan to friends with easy controls. If you're a little more experience or willing to take the full dive, get something else, it's probably not worth it for you. [I swear to all that is holy I will make a video eventually, just got writers block for other stuff rn]

Tried around alot, many brands, all were rather meh.... In the end I moved to a VFC HK416 Hop rubber and wow, just wow. You can stil aim for single bodyparts and hit them on the first try, way beyond 50 meters. Suddenly 20 shots dosn't feel like an handicap anymore.

At the moment, we aren't expecting to review it- we've done enough VFC reviews for now, and by all accounts it looks like it should be identical in build quality and design to VFC's M16A1. If there's any interest, though, we could do a more holistic video comparing the M16A1 and M16A2 as designs, and going over the significant differences that apply to airsoft.

Hey I've seen that in alot of videos it usually ends with "there are less troublesome guns at this price point" so I'm very curious what you'd say are the least troublesome guns at varying price points, if you include aftermarket parts. It's a jungle trying to find good GBBR's, the catalogue here in Europe is small, it's cold and it's tricky figuring out what GBBR's you can optimize for winter games.
@ExplosiveEnterprises5 ай бұрын
At the mid-range level, the TM MWS and VFC V3 ARs are the top of the pack for least fuss out of the box. The MWS may require a new nozzle spring sooner or later, but beyond that it's fairly hassle-free, while the VFC doesn't strictly need any alteration but can have some quirks (hop, bolt bounce, carrier breakage) that may also require inexpensive fixes. For cheaper options, we gave a couple of recommendations towards the end of Q&A #2.
