Finally!! Congratulations guys! I'm happy for you to achieve the 10 Million subs. I have been watching the corridor videos for years. Saw your growth as filmmakers, artists and as a buisness with the crew Channel (or the Sam and Niko channel as it was called back in the day) You guys together always find new ways to entertain, educate and surprise me with fun content. You deserve all your succes and the diamond playbutton is the proof of that Cheers from the Netherlands and thanks for sharing your creativity with the world

And here lies 3 of my favorite KZbin celebs. They don't act like Celebs and they don't act like Hollywood. However, Hollywood apparently likes these guys a lot from stuntmen, to graphic artists. From Actors and directors to VFX artists, Hollywood's biggest names will sometimes end up on this show. I notice that they always give Corridor a good review, they love that couch. I think they have the most loyal subscriber fan base and hold to their beliefs. Ok, I think I've fanboyed enough. I just really enjoy these guys. I would love to be on one of their shows as a guest. I would love to ask a director or stunt man or VFX artist questions. I might bring my own clips I would want to have digested. Yep, guess I wasn't done Fanboy'ing

If you want to blow up on shorts, you need to do more phone video-style shorts. Shorts/Reels/Tiktok viewers prefer content shot on the phone. They don't want professionally lit content. I shoot content for brands and you basically have to just trick them into thinking they're watching something done on the fly.

I think you could do the Terminator shot where he goes through the bars with the Galium too. Shoot two plates, one pushing the model into the bars from the front. The 2nd pulling the model through the bars from behind. Then merge the two shots. Maybe you would need to heat the bars.

I found a pretty small youtube channel recently that had been going quite a while, they had about 150 videos, but only the last two started gaining a lot of views. I went back and watched some of the older ones, they're really good and exactly the kind of content I like but they all had really low views, in the 100s or maybe 1 or 2 thousand on a few. They were quite arty and very different to the content that usually gets big on youtube. The two that got big were much more like the usual youtube content. My point being, it really was a clear example of how the youtube algorithm definitely prefers a certain type of content and if you go outside that boundary, too arty or left-field for example, it wont get recommended to people. When you say that if you make a good video it will do well, I think it has to be good AND a certain type of video that's easily categorised by the algorithm.

42:00 - kind of like engineering. If you want to make something by yourself, you need to be a full stack developer. Otherwise you get a team or startup together. If you want to be a creator on KZbin, you need to be a full stack creative. Or, you need a Crew

Pro Tip. Dont upload shorts if these are extremely far behind with the views because YT confuses these with regular videos, so thats why many big channels have other channel just for shorts. That confusion hurts the algorithm

Piracy is stealing. Let's say that people reupload Corridor videos without permission, wouldn't they gain the views and revenues so you'll get less. Even if the original videos are still available, doesn't that still count as stealing?

You act as if it's only VFX people who use the term "Gaussian." Gauss was one of the most important mathematicians in history, and Gaussian distributions are something everyone who learns statistics and probability deals with all the time. The word is used all over in mathematics, because he had his hand in everything. So mispronouncing it just sounds poorly informed.
