In the movie business, you have to be able to work with others to succeed. Unlike other professions, if you have a bad personality type, nobody will work with you. For example, he understands that you need to give creative liberty to the filmmakers. If he was stubborn and said no the CGI should be like this, he would be out of the job

In this video I wouldn't place him any older than 53, and he might be as young as 47, his salt and pepper hair and beard with the receding hair line make him look older, but his skin is still pretty healthy. I wouldn't be surprised if he was mid-40s, but the Troll scan clip from 2000 isn't doing him any favors.

@Drake Barnes I know I've seen all their names but none of them stuck with me. He was a seriously underused character because he should have been fighting with hulk or at a minimum with Thor. The first fight with iron Man and Spider-Man was cool but then we don't see him again until wakanda and he doesn't really do anything until the hulkbuster armor. That should have been the part of the movie for Hulk to get his payback.

Weta and ILM are two of my favorite VFX studios working in Hollywood together they have made some of the best looking effects in movies. Their work includes movies like: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes trilogy, Avatar, District 9, Transformers, Jurassic Park films, Game of thrones and the MCU films.

Totally agree. I live here in Welly and have been a few times. It's excellent! First place I lived after moving here from Canada was the suburb of Kilbirnie - in 2002, I would walk this little pathway next to my house over to a big "WalMart" style store nearby, to buy cheap crap ... and I'd pass this series of non-descript looking metal garages, all side by side (with no windows), and one had a small sign on them that simply said "Weta". It was their first studio setup ... when I learned what Weta was a bit later, I was all "WHOA!" They got their much larger studios of course for LOTR, but still ... seeing the original 'sheds' they worked in so close to my house was awesome.

@@GamingOS I know right? As an older guy (42) I'm genuinely amazed at how good cgi has gotten since it started showing up in movies in the 90's. It's only in very recent years we've got human/humanlike characters that don't trigger the "Uncanny Valley" response (such as the Wolverine clone in Logan), Thanos is one of them, like you I often forgot I was watching a cgi character.

Veloziraptor111 I mean they can't really make it much smaller than that because let's be honest here a battle field with tens of thousands of people can't really be created from an explosion that only blew up a building. And like he said it had to look big enough to create a sizable crater.I think not being logical for just a short while is a small price to pay if you want to have a stunning setting for the climax.
