Very useful video, thanks Ralph, the 1050 is such a versatile module. AMSynths are making modules that connect to the 1027 and its rear mounted 12-way socket. An additional column of voltages (AM1028) or two columns and manual settings (AM1026). ARP originally planned a very capable sequencer sub-system - but only the 1027 and 1050 were manufactured.

@@RalphBaumgartl Thank you, not much video on this one. If you want to have a look at the Brazilian version of this module, check out EMW, they are like a South American Doepfer of the modular synth world. The EMW has two horizontal rows, robust knobs and toggle switches, and just seems way more comprehensive than the 1050. EMW has dozens of great looking and inexpensive utility modules and 70s-80s clones much like Behringer, but they aren’t made to resemble the originals at all, which I also like. That being said, I love the look of the ARP clones, but Behringer wasted a lot of HP by making modules 16 HP that could’ve been condensed into 10-12, and I bet I ain’t the only person that has a gripe about that. 🤷♀️

hey Ralph (or anyone else) ... am considering sticking a collection of different Behr system sequencer modules 182/1027/960+961+962 into a eurorack to control my 3x B2600s. Do you know if these would be compatible, with syncing & matched voltages etc, or am i likely to run into problems (esp with the Moog-clone System55 stuff)?
@RalphBaumgartl4 ай бұрын
For the 182 and 960 you may have to boost the Gate signal to make it work with the B2600. You can use the B2600 Preamp for this task. Watch this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5yyYnWCnNV1e5o The 961 allows for compatibility to the System 55. Cheers, Ralph

Interesting, as I am in the process of designing a 16-step CV/Audio sequencer for my Behringer 2600. The 1050 may be useful to expand it. P S Nice touch colour-coding your patch cables to match the colours of the sequencer channels.

The 1050 is a very powerful and interesting mixer for any Eurorack system. I am going to demonstrate this in the Audio mixing tutorial. I am glad you noticed my color choice for the patch cables ;-) Greetings, Ralph

Possible i´m confused, because it seems to me at 9:23 each column of the 1027 performs 5 steps, not six, am i right? Otherwise very good video, especially how the patching is explained. I'm looking forward to getting started with the ARP 2500 re-creation!
@RalphBaumgartl5 ай бұрын
You are right. I already inserted a Text in the Video which states that I mean 5 steps and a 15 step sequence in total. Perhaps you may have to turn on captions to see the text. Cheers, Ralph
@donerskine79356 ай бұрын
Oh, and you didn't make an 18 (6x3) step sequence at the end, you made a 15 (5x3) step sequence!
@RalphBaumgartl6 ай бұрын
It's six. Count the position gate slots and the outgoing cable... ;-)
@donerskine79356 ай бұрын
@@RalphBaumgartl Take a look at about 9:08. 5 LEDs cycle in sequence. If you are resetting on (the beginning of) count 6, that step doesn't occur, as at it immediately resets to the first step.
