Finally a commentator comes out and says “idk what these people are talking about, Sheik clearly beats Marth.” It’s very obvious that Sheik wins the matchup, and the anti-Marth sentiment since Zain’s rise is the only reason this is even a conversation lol

Marth/Shiek is always interesting to me because they both have the same goals in mind. - Get opponent into the air - Juggle them as they are light - Send them off stage - Make use of their easy/predicable recoveries to edge hog. - Or let them back on stage as they have very long landing lag after Up B

Plup has the cleanest/fastest Sheik movement out of any player, ever. It's insane to watch. Everything is practically always frame-perfect and the shield drops take it to a whole other level. It's like the video is playing at 1.25x speed. As a Sheik main, I feel like I'm always at a disadvantage because I simply can't play this well. The character has insane potential but is pretty mid unless you're taking full advantage of it. She doesn't really have any cheap 1-shots like shine, tipper, knee, rest, etc. Besides getting a gimp with Bair, you really gotta work for your damage/KO, especially since your opponent can usually CC most attacks on top of having a very exploitable recovery.

Watching this I can't help but feel like Plup could be in contention for best in the world if he dedicated as much time to the game as Zain does because most of the set Zain just barely has the edge over him and the roles had been reversed in the past when Plup was more active.
