@thelastskywalker437 How is that a reasonable comparison? Does mining cause any direct damage? Is it something that can be tossed up or dropped or tossed across the other side of the stage with spped or held so you can't combo him?

@@007alztruli better comparison do you see people complain Fox players spam Up air or nair. Do you see people say Falco players spam up tilt. Spamming a move doesn't mean the move does damage it means you use the move a lot. People can spam a counter and never actually counter anything. It's a part of Snakes neutral so people need to stop acting like he's just throwing them out there with zero thought.

@@thelastskywalker437 I'm sorry but that makes no sense. If a Fox player who was losing decided to stay at one end of the stage and spam up air or nair, what effect would that have on you? Absolutely nothing. What if you were the one losing and the Fox player decoded to do that? Would the up air or nair he was spamming somehow stop you or even make it difficult for you to approach him? Of course not. No reasonable Fox player would EVER be throwing out up airs or nairs over and over again without considering what the other player was doing, but that is actually a very common thing you see most Snake players do because it is very effective and very difficult to deal with and staying away is not a good option because it damages your shield and does a lot of damage when it hits.

Sephiroth has no good close range or out of shield options besides jab and neutral air, so he must roll a lot.

Been watching a lot of Hurt's tourney gameplay lately and I must say, as a Snake main, his gameplay is nigh insufferable. A lot of high level Snake gameplay is hard to watch unfortunately. They never use all the tools they have at their disposal and just rely on grenade spam. On the rare occasion they use up smash (along with everything else) for edge guards, it almost always throws the opponent off. I don't know why Snake players don't utilize it more.

I also enjoy up smash. Allows for jump coverage and then it's a near 50/50 on how they are gonna get back on

Because infinites and Touch of Deaths are so much better than trapping. Steve I understand because he has total stage control but Snake grenades are as much of a risk to himself as to his enemies. Hurt and AK are probably the greatest snake players but both have lost stock with their own C4s. Meanwhile, fox/falcon, pikachu, Aegis, Kazuya, G&W, Minmin are 24/7 safe in their neutral game. Then Sephiroth, Cloud and Joker have a strong comeback X-factor. Sonic too is just a ball of death.
