10:29 So if Wolf is planning to read the roll get-up with up smash, Mac needs to normal get-up and grab him then, right? Or would a tilt attack like run up forward tilt or down tilt be better? Would Mac even be able to normal get-up fast enough before Wolf can punish? If not, jumping to the edge and over the right tri-plat might've been the correct move if he's trying to get around Wolf and regain center stage. Engaging Wolf while trying to regain neutral might not even be a good idea in that situation. On top of that, with proper spacing, its pretty doable. At least, thats what i'd probably do in that situation with my Puff. I know Mac isn't a floaty like Puff, but they're both a one-hit at that percent against Wolf, and i think Mac can get to the right tri-plat with his jumps. Anyways, i'm just asking out of curiosity. Idk what the meta is regarding that scenario and which is the right option for Mac. I'd imagine that regaining neutral at all costs is probably the right move nearly 100% of the time, unless the Wolf player is expecting that.

Hey there, mac main since release here and I was also intrigued by this clip. The thing is, the way wolf positioned himself where he's a slight distance away from ledge is hard for mac to do much against. But yes, if i were playing, i would attempt to jump double jump over triplats, then maybe fast fall to ground. Mac actually has a lot of options he can chose from, but none of them are particularly good.

As a Mac main I’ll be the first to admit that his results are painfully inconsistent and he’s really bad. I love making jokes about how people should “just not play him” but sometimes a character feels good to a player and they don’t find fun or the results people think they will with other characters. To be disappointed in him for “still playing Mac” when he’s making it to BO5 sets and enjoying the game is wrong. To be discouraging folks from finding inspiration in someone like Peanut is just plain mean. Let us have our heroes, even if they seem silly or smaller scale than yours
