No, it was necessary. He needed to psrry otherwise he would've eated a shieldbreak. Then mac would've fully charged straight lunged him, taking his stock and gaining a bar in the ko meter. G&W needed to parry no doubt.

Its not optimal against mac do it all the time. He is the kind of character that you dont want to have rage. And mac its really fast. If a Mr. G&W dont conects the bacons to get a confirm, mac can do a side-b and dont give a fuck about the bacons. It would be worst, because the bacons will extend the hitbox of side-B.

Get this main commentator off the mic and don’t let him in again for a good long time. He’s clearly biased in everything he said, only really “commentating” for one player and all the ways that player can and should beat the other player, while ignoring or outright dismissing anything the other player does. Case and point: End of game 1, saying “Awww” to an absolutely fantastic stock off a skilled and careful read because his favorite lost is unsportsmanlike. As commentator, you cheer for both and wish for a good game, no matter who wins.

Okay they're biased but y'all have no idea how annoying this matchup is for g&w. The only combo starter that isn't risky as hell to use is up b, u gotta guess right on the DI but he has armor and counter anyway which stops every single one of his aerials, and you're one of the lightest in the game. Feels like game over if u can't force an early edge guard.

@kaidie3347 bomb is really good in neutral actually. U can set up bomb grab or bomb uptilt and raw bomb has good knockback. Once u get advantage state u can try to catch landings with dash attack or ftilt or catch techs with down smash and get him off the ledge pretty early.

It has heavy armor, up to 9.6% iirc in one on one battles, so if a move doesn't do that much in one hit, it'll keep charging without Mac flinching.
