I agree this tournament has been a lot more hype than US tournaments I remember. I think because US mentality focusing on tier lists and matchups theory. And yes ,these commentators are great. They focus on the action, the players and their plays.

It's a lot harder to punish that up-b than most people think. When there is a platform the opponent has to guess whether the Samus will land on it or go through it. Samus can also change her drift to throw people off. I've seen top Samus players spam up-b and get away with it all the time unfortunately. Also, it doesn't help that Mario has such small hitboxes.

100% agree. This matchup along with matchups like this are prime examples of how pathetic Mario’s range is, easily in the top 3 for being the worst in Ultimate. Plus Samus’s up special and forward air are broken a.s.

Epic fight. Those extreme comebacks do mental damage. They trigger you and scare you because you know that having a big lead could mean nothing in the end. And the confidence to know you can pull out those extreme comebacks give you hope and clutch.

The set results are often spoiled by the length of the video itself. I think they should add 15 minutes of black screen at the end so viewers wont be able to know the result. If its 2-1 with 5 minutes left then the set is clearly over at 3-1. Tagging on an additional 15 minutes of black screen solves this problem.

Well, Samus is cool, but deals a little too much damage/launch given how good her range and framedata is. But at this level, that is less relevant, and the players playstyle becomes much more important, so I still respect Sisqui for getting this far, despite my dislike for Samus

Great video! Unfortunately, because of the constant ads interrupting it becomes impossible to not accidently see the length of the video, which often gives away the results. As a samus main, I have to agree. She greatly needs a rework. She's had damn near the same moveset since the 64. In brawl it was cool when she had the whole zero suit mechanic, but that was the only real change there's been in forever. A dread based samus would be amazing. Less range, more melee. Flash shift, melee counter, maybe even a command grab or some kind of beam select wheel like shulk has with hit monado arts. Idk, just so much missed potential man

The biggest thing we got was Link, but it's still Link at the end of the day. Giving Samus all these crazy new features and mechanics would mean may as well make a new character.
