If Elly is in your party when you fight Grahf in Disc 1 with your Gears, then the fight will end when your two other Gears are defeated. Grahf will not attack Elly because he knows that she is the reincarnation of Sophia.

Say what? I vaguely remember this by doing a few play throughs but I’m sure you’re right. All though the only time I game over was the sewers in the dessert and fighting that electric dolphin mech towards the end game

One of the best villain themes of all time.Grahf, a derivative of the German word for Count was truely an underrated villain in the rpg world .Everytime this theme played the old addage,what dosent kill you only makes you stronger was most apt.

haha, each time I heard his theme, I knew it was panic time, seriousness was here, Death will come. True Fear ! I loved it. And then, Id appeared... and again a new definition of Terror. it was an incredible game.

few problems thou... first is the rights for the Xeno-Project... Square did own the Xenogears, but Xeno-Project is now owned by Monolith Soft and co-owned also by Nintendo (Xenoblade Series) while the Xenosaga series is owned by Bandai-Namco Games. 2nd problem is the original crew(s) behind Xenogears, Takahashi Tetsuya is now with Monolith Soft (he's the founder). 3rd problem, the theme. Xenogears story is grazing the topic about religion (mainly Christianity) and racial, which is a very sensitive topic nowadays... especially with many Japan's gaming company getting more and more influenced by SJW. So for Xenogears to get a remake, it has to be a cooperation between SquareEnix and Monolith, BUT... then Nintendo will want it to be exclusive for their console.

@@HenSt-gz7qj Actually, Xenogears belongs exclusively to Square, they have full rights over it. it's why some Square games (notably phone games cause... ugh) can get Xenogears collabs. FFBE had full-on Xenogears characters Fei, Elly, and friends that you could summon and everything as a limited time collab. But the other points are pretty accurate. I think the biggest issue is Xenogears wasn't meant to be a standalone game, it was one of six planned games (which included the Xenosaga games... owned by Bandai, again not Monolift Soft). Square doesn't really like releasing one-offs these days, they're pretty focused on long-lasting series that they know will print and sell with minimal creative iteration. Sad but like many big companies they don't like risky projects, and Xenogears would be a solo game with potentially limited audience.

@@OfficeThug you are right on almost all of that, except your last little opinion about SquareExin now of days. 1. final fantasy 14, a failed mmo when it started even tho they had a mmo running from 2004 final fantasy 11(which up to 2018 was the companies highest grossing game ever, only pasted by final fantasy 14) this was a nich game and even to it started as a failer they kept pump9ing money into it and now its the biggest mmo in the world with well over 2 million ppl paying 15 bucks a month or 140 a year. 2. Square also taken risk by making the avengers game without the licenes to use the actors faces, big risk, ALSO they let platimum games make there first live service game BABALYONS FALL, which also flopped, and was a risk same with Final fantasy strangers of paradise it was an action rpg that did not conform to the normal SE game 3, you last point, Valkyrie Elysium , a game slated to release thsi year or next that is base off the VERY niech game Valkyrie chronicals which was a one off game back on ps1, AND THE NEW GAME IS A ONE OFF......... all of your points are either your feeligns or just want you want to think, becaause none of what really is happing is close to what you said, save for they are focesed on long lasting series. also outriders is another risky fps game that SE made. i could say that a xenogears remake is right up the ally for them seeing that valkrie chronicals is even smaller than xeno gears and less beloved(i played them both on ps1) if you ask me i think SE is gonna sell its self off to sony(idk why but i think they are with some of the western sections they sold off to embracer group) NO one was asking for a sequal to the valk chronical game. but SE did it anyhow
