Reading too much of the Beeb and those Murdoch tabloids? The cost of producing in China anything that China produces is still far lower than in the US or the EU. They have "Economies of Scale" and the most efficient and integrated distribution system for all levels of production of any nation. Other nations have much cheaper labor, but they also have crap manufacturing infrastructure. Do you seriously believe that an EU nation or the very corrupt, cost overrunning US MIC could produce weapons as cheaply and efficiently as China? Your Irish economy (if you and Mr. Ahern are fellow citizens) is still heavily agricultural by EU standards, yet you don't even approach the efficiency of Dutch farmers in low cost production and distribution. And just who are these "some people"?
