Good question! Heavyrain role is just for stalling Patriot (in his 2nd phase) by taking two hits from him. The main reason is to pinpoint where exactly Patriot throws his halberd to the farthest ranged operator that I placed, so I can figured the flow of the run with minimum damage from Patriot. "Why not stall much longer?" you might asked. Well, I didn't think that tbh. I feel Heavyrain taking two hits is a sweet spot for my run. Plus, I don't want to risk it if it goes south. I don't want Silence to get killed early by his halberd, I don't want Absinthe to get killed by Patriot normal attack, and I also don't want Broca to get killed early because there's heralds. And yes, Heavyrain does dodge during Patriot first attack to her, but I want his two attacks animation to pull it off.
