I think X has one of the best OSTs in the series, although most of them are really solid overall. This is one of my favorite pieces from the game, and like you I also love the piano collection rendition of it. Just beautiful and great playing.

Sounds great...small note: The middle and lower registers sound a little quiet relative to the upper regions. The fix may be as simple as increasing the volume/gain on the lower mic.
