I like that Ben was so respectful of Tayshia in this interview and had only positive things to say about his experience b/c she truly and genuinely treated every single guy there with kindness, empathy and respect. I didn't like how Nick was fishing for him to say something negative about Tayshia. And it took Ben talking about how he appreciated how she handled things with care and highlighting how she must have been feeling in those moments to have Nick backtrack and see things from her perspective. She was a great Bachelorette period! Overall it was a good interview to watch. Also, I don't think Ben should be the next Bachelor, it would do more harm than good to his mental and emotional well-being.

I feel like people (Nick especially) are confusing Ben being open and vulnerable with being communicative. Yes, he was extremely raw and vulnerable, with what he’s been through in his past but that doesn’t negate the fact that he has an extremely difficult time communicating what he’s feeling in the moment. Those are two completely separate things, why is it such a difficult concept to comprehend? I’m the exact same way. I’m super open about my past but I’ll completely shut down if I feel uncomfortable in the moment. I’ve also dated a man like that and it’s extremely difficult on both ends. I completely understand, needing a man that’s not afraid to verbalize his feelings and emotions ( especially if you have a hard time doing it yourself). You’ll baLance each other out. My ex and I ( 12 years) hardly ever fought, because we barely communicated about the tough stuff, which is why we went nowhere. I’m rambling and on a rant, my apologies lol

Nick is pissed that Tayshia treated Ben better than either of his two Bachelorettes treated him (he’s still bitter about getting down on one knee for Kaitlyn) and is trying to instigate Ben talking shit about Tayshia. But Ben didn’t take the bait because...well Ben is an actually good person who took the four months between filming wrapping and now to responsibly heal and manage his emotions. Something Nick still doesn’t care about doing. Kudos to Ben for understanding there’s a life outside of this franchise and surrounding himself with good people. Nick still hasn’t learned to leave the past in the past. And honestly, because of the grace Ben showed, if for some chance it doesn’t work out with Tayshia and Zac (I think it will because they are meant for each other) I actually think she’d give Ben another chance.

Nick is such a gaslighter lol. Acting like tayshia had no right to be mad at Ben for coming back. But then tells Ben “you could’ve been made like why did you bring me back” first of all she didn’t bring him back, he came back and she was like okay well let’s figure this out. But she didn’t like send Chris Harrison to fetch Ben and bring him back. The whole season she’s telling him she wants him to open up and be authentic about his feelings. And as much as he talks about his own struggles, he never seemed to consistently show her he wanted to do more than just date her. And so she gets rid of him, and she has two dudes left and then he comes back?? Like mentally she already has to figure out what she wants to do, Brendan just left, she has to figure out where her head is at and what she wants, and then he comes back which complicates things even more. Clearly she was super stressed and overwhelmed. She’s a human, he’s allowed to be upset.

I'm glad Ben is at peace with how the season played out... But Nick, how is it "nuts" that Tayshia was upset by Ben's return?! It would have been nuts of her to be anything else. Tayshia had to *pull* emotion out of Ben from the very beginning. Remember when he went to Tayshia's room (and Ed went to Chris's 😉) and she asked him to "show up?" Ben *vowed* he would, still didn't "show up" as much as the other men, then decided to put himself out there after Tayshia made her decision to say goodbye. Tayshia gave Ben plenty of chances. Even on the art date, the other guys showed up (except maybe Blake) while Ben took off his clothes. He did talk about his mental health in their private conversation, later. But that conversation was him "showing up" for himself -- for his own healing, not for their relationship. I admire his transparency. And I sympathize with his challenges. But when Tayshia had guys like Zac, Ivan and Brendan around... *of course* she was mad at Ben for wasting her time and emotional energy. Tayshia deserves a man with whom she doesn't have to set ultimatum after ultimatum. And she has found that man in Zac. ❤️ Ben was fighting *against* rejection and for his own emotional development -- not *for* love.

Sometimes I wonder if we’re watching the same show Nick lol Tayshia never “yelled” at Ben and Zac told her his feelings before the fantasy suites. Also, you always want the top 2/3 to talk shit about the other like why??? these guys were shown with the least amount of drama even their “dramatic moments” weren’t as dramatic as we’ve seen before. Tayshia was hands down the best Bachelorette in my opinion maybe since Trista in the first season. She handled it all with class with being thrown in the middle of the process. I laughed when Ben says “he (Zac) was incredibly eager to find out what was going on” cause from what I saw when Ben came back to the ceremony he was the one who initiated the “what do you think’s going on over there?” and “oh they’re walking to the car” to Zac lol. Also, I find it weird when Noah said on his podcast interview on here that Ben didn’t know that Tayshia was previously married before. They’re relationship to me was like watching two people who had crushes on each other, it was like that middle school feeling between them. Ben just wasn’t emotionally ready for all of it and that’s fine. Ben had just came to the realization that he even was in love with her and could admit it so he wasn’t ready for a further commitment regarding engagement and I’m going to be honest if we didn’t have Matt James as the bachelor already Ben in my opinion wouldn’t be a good choice because he wouldn’t be ready that quickly. He’s got a lot of more growing to do emotionally. Everything works out for a reason. I wish the best for him!

I don't think Ben has a mad, bad, selfish bone in his body...he is truly a stand-up guy and Tayshia lost out on one incredible guy. Very hopeful that Ben is our next Bachelor for sure! Great interview btw!

She has an incredible guy, So she did not lose out on anything
@melissaf9913 жыл бұрын
Not a selfish bone in his body? He seems like a nice guy but also very self centered. Everything is about him - his experiences and struggles (which is awesome that he spoke on it but it’s not the same as him being vulnerable about his feelings for tayshia which is what she kept asking for), how he loves tayshia for how he feels when he’s with her (rather than for actual traits she’s possesses), how he continuously talks about how he’s incredibly empathetic and incredibly thoughtful and constantly sings his own praises which doesn’t come off as super humble. Idk he seems like a nice person, but definitely comes off as self centered and bringing everything back to himself and how things affect him.

@@shellstover4384 because it’s obvious when you get over the haze of his conventional hotness (Ben). The way he speaks in his confessionals when tayshia is there is very “this is what you do at this point in the journey” gameplay speak. Also him coming back after he got eliminated was to clean his image up before he becomes the bachelor. He left cold and emotionless (the breakup) and then suddenly comes back and leaves a saint (after a shower scene in a towel which is CLASSIC lead bachelor footage). She literally had to FORCE emotions out of him. He chef friend literally had to tell him he was in love with tayshia. He is not ready to be someone life partner. He’s a good guy but he’s a fuckboy that needs to learn a bit more about his emotions before leading an entire season by himself. Also look at his Instagram all season. Thirst traps for days. It was a giveaway they didn’t end up together. A newly engaged man doesn’t ask for that kind of attention.

imo i think it was a red flag when he talked about the breakup and remembered the exact moment his body language changed but couldn’t remember ANYTHING Tayshia said when she broke up with him. I feel like if he really loved Tayshia, he wouldn’t help but over analyze the breakup. There’s no excuse he watched it the night before!! The way he’s talking makes it seem like he got off on watching himself on TV. I get a STRONG feeling that he’s obsessed with getting his fifteen minutes of fame. He really rubs me the wrong way. If he becomes bachelor over Ivan I will stop watching.

I get a weird vibe by some of the language he uses when talking about himself. “I’m an extremely empathetic person” “I’m an incredibly thoughtful guy” he says things like that a lot, and if he is those things that’s great, it just doesn’t come off as humble to be constantly telling everyone how incredible you are. Like no one was asking “are you empathetic, are you thoughtful?” He just kind of answers questions by being like listen, I’m a great guy, which is kind of weird since that stuff is somewhat subjective
