Thank you for your video. I have had mine for several years and it has never worked correctly. I grabbed it and followed your video and discovered I had it incorrectly. Wow 😮- now it’s working perfectly. I still prefer Glue over tape

Yay! I'm glad that at least now you can get some use from it. I used to use my ATG almost exclusively. I'm not 100% sure why I stopped using it, but I'll begin using it more often for mats and layers. We will see! TYSM!

Very useful tutorial, Vianney! I rarely use my ATG and always have to think for a minute to remember how to change the roll. I literally said out loud “don’t close it before you put the guard on!” just before you did because I forget that step nearly every time!!! 😂 I guess great minds think alike! 😂❤️

I have a love hate relationship with this dispenser. It works well most of the time, but I dread trying to refill it. I will bookmark this video so I will know how to refill. I just bought a refill yesterday, so this video came at a perfect time. Thanks Vianney 😊 Kristi

I have an ATG literally from the 70s and it still works great. I used to mat a lot of paintings and photos. I must admit I sometimes I look at youtube videos to change the tape. Mine is a dark burgundy color and just has one rubber roller. Oh, I also have a smaller Anna Griffin one. I think I have only changed that tape once.

They certainly are work horses! I have the Anna one, too...I think I won it years ago at an Expo. I haven't opened it! LOL!! Thanks for sharing your experience

To this day this is my # one reach to tool!!!! I have two in the pink 1/4inch and two in the purple 1/2inch. They are amazing quick, efficient and non-messy. They get the job done when it comes to paper crafting. I always have to look at a video to refill. Now I have your tutorial. Thank you!!!!

It used to be my go to until I got those spools that were wound wrong and the tool also began squeaking! LOL! Not great for videos. This one is doing great, so will probably continue using it often. TY!!

Thank you for this great how-to video. I could never put a new roll of tape on mine. I always have to ask my husband to do it for me. Now, I think I am going to try it myself 😏

I gave my ATG away 15 years ago. I kept getting tape that was incorrect like you mentioned at the beginning of the video from Scotch. It was really frustrating because I actually liked the ATG
@VianneyCreates3 жыл бұрын
Right? I feel like it also happened to me more than once. They must have put out some batches that were rolled incorrectly. That's really when I stopped using it, too. They aren't cheap and it was so frustrating.

Thank you! I swear I was doing it but I couldn’t get it working. I just did it with a new roll and watching your video, not sure what I was missing but this helped so it worked finally! Thank you

Glad it helped! I totally know what you're saying, I recall sometimes it just not working even though I was pretty sure I was doing it correctly. TYSM!!

I remember this being such a pain that I gave it away, lol. You did that pretty fast even with forgetting to put the guard back on. 😎
@VianneyCreates3 жыл бұрын
OMG, that seems to be the consensus here! LOL! The only time I was really frustrated with it was when my rolls came in wound backward. What a pain. I had to throw them away.

Unlike a lot of others, apparently, I love the ATG and use it all the time. Maybe BEXAUSE I use it so frequently, I am used to putting in new refills, and never have a problem. I guess I just have the "feel" of the Scotch ATG's....was using the older versions long before the pink one came out, directed at scrapbookers.
@VianneyCreates3 жыл бұрын
I kept mine because I do love it...until one of them started squeaking! LOL! Looks like you've read the comments here....people are not loving it. It takes getting used to, I have recently began using it more and more again. I'm glad you enjoy yours. TY! (:

Yay! Thank you! Actually, today I made a review video for Diamond Press' new craft caddy and as I went to fill it with crafty tools...I realized my tape glider was empty!! LOL! Time to refill it!

I just saw this. I thought they changed the tape, I couldn't get it work. I stopped using. I heard you say some tape was rolled backward, that's what was wrong with mine. I can now get it back out and realize it wasn't my stupidity! Thanks!

Happy to help! I wish they had better quality control, luckily it's been a while since I got a backwards rolled one!! (:

I first saw this about 11 years ago at a scrap retreat. Another gal had one and I thought it looked so cumbersome to use, so big. It's probably cheaper in the long run, but I stick to the small ones. :-)
@VianneyCreates3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is pretty big. It's not hard to use, but it does take getting used to.

Every time I have to refill, I struggle with that, too. At the base of the lid there are tabs you're supposed to push in and open. Like in one motion, push the tabs and lift open. It hinges at the top. That's the best way I can write it, it's not easy for whatever reason.
