Elvis was actually remembered as a shy kid who didn't fit in too well at school. Average student who actually got a C in music class. In his junior year in high school he grew more confident and dressed more flamboyantly. Elvis took the guitar his mother bought him to school every day from the 7th grade on. Some bullies were mad at him and cut his guitar strings. Other classmates knew what the guitar meant to him so they pooled their money and bought him a new set of strings.

I'm sitting thinking to myself what was poor Elvis thinking about on January 8th, 1975 when he turned 40. He's the most gifted and the most beautiful and charming, kine and most generous man God put on earth. He lost his physique, still handsome and he never lost his God-given singing ability, in fact, I think his voice only got better with age. His movie career was gone, his constant touring paid the bills. He was alone stuck in his Graceland mansion bedroom, the stiffling fame he acquired, couldn't allow him to be, (just a human) a man who really just wanted to go to a movie by himself, to go get an ice cream by himself, to go to a football game, a baseball game like we all enjoy because his fame intombed him, my god, I loved this man, he gave so much to the world and all he wanted to do is to go to a local shopping center and buy a stick of gum but his suffering fame did not allow him to do so, but you know the sad part about all of this is, (we) myself, the world is guilty of his downfall. The biggest albatross in this tale is the low down, rotten "boss hog," who ultimately, kill, yes I said it killed Elvis by working this man to an early grave. The most famous man on earth and not one foot touched foreign soil to tour the world, it's a travesty. I know about the military but we all know what I mean. A world tour, the UK, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Germany, Iceland, Finland, Mexico, Brazil, etc, etc, and etc. We all in some way are guilty of the passing of Elvis on August 16th, 1977, why, because we loved him so much, we put Elvis on that hill in Memphis, TN. We bought his records, went to his movies, went to concerts, Elvis said it himself that if it wasn't for his fans he would have nothing and we bought and we bought Elvis, the most sweet and loving soul who died unhappy and alone in a bathroom we paid for, life doesn't seem fair and at times it isn't. He, possibly gave more love than he received in the end but what human being alive on August 15th, 1977 thought it possible that in a few short hours, we would lose him, the answer to that question is, no one. I'm far past the age when Elvis left us, I was 8 years old and that day is clearer than it was for me yesterday, that my friends, is the impact Elvis gave me, did we contribute to his downfall, yes, did you yes, did the 1.5 billion people that saw his Hawaii concert in 1973, yes. His suffering fame was caused by all of us, not because we disliked him but because we LOVE him. I love Elvis, every single fiber in me loves Elvis. I will ends my days far into the future loving Elvis. Love will always be the future beacon of hope and dreams, Elvis showed all of us what a great person that one could be, Elvis show all us what a human could be, and there will never be another. There are a lot of pretenders but there will never be another contender.

So funny my crazy Dad literally fought a bear in a ring at the Genesee County fair back on the 80’s. My Dad definitely had an Elvis look too. He had beautiful dark black hair w/ insanely bright light blue eyes w/ dark tan skin. Everyone told him he should go to Hollywood. ❤

I don't have enough vocabulary to express my feelings when watching this video - I spread a wet puddle of admiration, adoration and everything else. Elvis on the Sinatra show is a perfect masterpiece, he is so beautiful from the socks of his lacquered shoes to the tips of his fluctuating curls that it is painful to look at him, his movements are elegant and fascinating - I think that not only girls, but also adult ladies, and from different walks of life, were screaming. FYI: I researched volumes of information for my term paper presentation on ELVIS while attending University. In his graduating class from high school, above ELVIS' picture was a caption, "Most likely to succeed..ha ha"! ELVIS had the last HA.

Elvis was such an individual and so very shy, that school was not a happy place with many of the kids bullying him. He worked hard and teachers said he was always polite and hard working. He met his great friend, George Kleine, at school, when George rescued him from bullies in the toilets who were trying to cut off his hair. They stayed friends throughout his life until Elvis died. The Welcome home Elvis Show, with Frank Sinatra, was to let everyone know that Elvis was back from the Army. He’d been away for 2 years with no performances, only the occasional release of pre recorded record at regular intervals. Love Elvis’s moves here. Unfortunately Elvis was an outcast in HS. The kids would make fun of him because he was so different but that didn't stop him from being himself.
