Dear Doctor Ray, you are so right about music and the psyche. I have a hard time listening to negative music because I am inherently an optimist. I also need Elvis to put me to sleep as well as start my day.😊 Don't worry about a few f- bombs either; sometimes they are needed. Love you and your reactions. ❤❤❤

I love this song! I listen to it all the time. So, warm and soothing. Kathy Westmoreland said, that EP could "naturally" make his voice do whatever he wanted it to do and that even trained vocalists couldn't do what he could do. Charlie Hodge said, that what you heard in Elvis' voice was his "love." I think he referred to it as his "love voice." Appreciate your reactions. All the best!

Awww Ray ...I hope you feel better very soon. Sometimes gargling with warm salt water several times a day helps. Warm honey water is also soothing on the throat. I agree with you about being careful filling our minds with negative lyrics in any kind of music. I have to be careful because of the same reactions you talked about tonight. I try not to have alot of negative messages in my musical choices because I find it's not a healthy place for me on several levels. I respect everyone decision to enjoy whatever music they choose ...but I agree it is important to choose carefully. Miss Helene....❤❤❤ this is a great choice...his vocals are all over the place and I love what I call the " cry" in his voice on certain lyrics. Thank you for choosing this song....and the pictures are gorgeous too! Imagine being his personal photographer...I would be taking pictures every minute of every day...😊😅 Thank you Miss Helene! Thank you Ray for all you do to TCB even when you are not feeling well...sending love❤🌻

That little glitch in his voice is actually called the "cry" in his voice. It came natural to him. Patsy Cline had it too, to great emotional effect. To me it sounds like the very beginning, the first second of a yodel but the singer instantly changed their mind.😂 Btw..you should really check out Miss Patsy. The first Country artist that crossed over & was just as popular with everyone. She's a legit legend. "Crazy" or "I Fall To Pieces"...either would be a good place to start. 💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙

This is a reworked version - there is music added ( I think in 1980, for the guitar man album- but this song was not used) . The original is even better, Elvis plays the piano and starts the song and the band fills in. It s spontanuous, but Elvis so much into this song - you can hear how the musicians are getting there too. I'LL hold you in my Heart was on the album From Elvis in Memphis (1969).

MISS HELENE THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS ONE 💜🙏🌹💜🙏🌹💜🙏🌹💜🙏🌹 YESSS! OH MY GOD! THIS IS A REAL 💎👌 AND SPOTLIGHT FACT: THIS IS THE ONLY TAKE OF THIS SONG. TAKE 1: 2 FALSE STARTS + MASTER 4:37 LONG; MASTER INCLUDES THE 2 FALSE STARTS & IS WITHOUT OVERDUBS. RECORDED AT AMERICAN SOUND STUDIO (MENPHIS, TENNESSEE) ON JANUARY 23, 1969 (THURSDAY) BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:30 A.M.- 3:30 A.M. "I'll Hold You In My Heart (Till I Can Hold You In My Arms)" was written by Tommy Dilbeck/ Howard Horton/ Eddy Arnold. More info here: I'll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)" is a 1947 song by Eddy Arnold. The song was Eddy Arnold's third number one on the Billboard Juke Box Folk Records chart. "I'll Hold You in My Heart (Till I Can Hold You in My Arms)" spent 46 weeks on the chart and 21 weeks at number one.[4] The song also served as Arnold's first crossover hit, peaking at number 22 on the Billboard Best Sellers in Stores chart. It was written by Eddy Arnold, Hal Horton and Tommy Dilbeck and first recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1947. It went to number one on the country charts and stayed there for 21 weeks, making it the 2nd longest running number one country hit of all time. (It actually tied "I'm Movin' On" by Hank Snow and "In the Jailhouse Now" by Webb Pierce but they are listed 1-2-3 on the all-time chart.) The Arnold version was the first of three songs through the mid 1950s to spend 21 weeks at No. 1. In 1950, Hank Snow's "I'm Movin' On" would match the record, and in 1955, their record would become jointly held by Webb Pierce with his cover of Jimmie Rodgers' "In the Jailhouse Now." For 58 years, nobody would match their shared record until August 2013, when - thanks to methodology changes in how Billboard tabulated its Hot Country Songs chart (airplay, music downloads and online streaming) - "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line matched the record of 21 weeks at No. 1. On August 10, "Cruise" spent its 22nd week at No. 1, surpassing the Arnold, Snow and Pierce songs for most weeks at No. 1. The song went on to become a major country crooner standard. The song also appeared on the Billboard pop chart in 1951 with recordings by Eddie Fisher and Toni Arden. Among others the songs was covered by: Elvis Presley Dean Martin, Glen Campbell Slim Whitman Jerry Lee Lewis In 1977, the song was covered by Jan Howard. Her version, released on Con Brio Records, became a minor hit on the Billboard country chart. The above is for anyone interested, courtesy of wiki. AND THANK YOU SO MUCH RAY FOR ANOTHER SPLENDERIFOUS REACTION 💙💐💙💐💙💐💙💐 HOPE YOU ARE NOT COMING DOWN WITH SOMETHING TOO SERIOUS 🙏 IF YOU NEED TO TAKE BREAKS PLEASE DO SO 💖 YOUR HEALTH IS IMPORTANT 💕💕 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕

The wife of the British Elvis magazine publisher met Elvis on the movie set. Now obviously she had seen a LOT of Elvis photos. Mrs Hand told Elvis that he was not very photogenic! Her reason for saying this? She saiid she had never seen a photo of him that truly captured his beauty and that he was far more handsome in person than his photos.

Hard to believe this is an old Eddy Arnold song from 1947! A lot of people, especially Elvis fans, would rather believe that Elvis recorded mainly original songs. I disagree. I think by taking a song that someone else had already recorded, and then blitzing it, shows Elvis’ far superior musicality, lyric interpretation and sheer talent that surpasses all comers consistently. The reverse is not true. Rarely, if ever, does another singer take a previously Elvis recorded song and even come close to Elvis’ version.

There has never been a bad pic. Of Elvis , he couldn't make a bad picture if he tried. He was also the King of Swag, his stride in the way he walked was even cool . Everything about the man was " LIT" the only way to have had anything close to a bad pic would be if you were using a camera that didn't work. LONG LIVE ELVIS...THE GOAT

That first photo in the blue shirt, is my current screensaver and I had it printed onto a mug so I could drink my tea from Elvis... yesterday I ordered a 2025 Elvis calendar.... with all my favourite photos. Can't wait for that lol. My family thinks I've lost the plot because I've been down an EP rabbit hole since June, it's September now 🙈 Pretty sure I'll be getting a cushion next and tote bag. There is something about Elvis that makes time stand still. I've made peace with myself and believe now that Elvis will admit me into the kingdom of heaven when the time comes. I'm going to meet Elvis, this thought gives me a warmth ❤
