These days with great cameras on our smart phones will make it so easy to get some great pictures. But. If you're really wanting to be a fan, put down the phone and feel it there. Imagine it's 1957. Here's there with his momma and daddy. Then the 60s. 70s. Not so long ago. But a lifetime. If you get the fever-- go to Tupelo, Mississippi. See where he was from. Imagine him there barefoot in threadbare overalls. Daddy in jail. Dirt floor and a momma who cries, and you swore to take care of her somehow. I'm going to take my mother this summer when she retires. I know you will love it.

We are actually going to Tupelo before we go to Memphis. In Memphis we are going to Beale St. And visiting Club Handy, Sun Studios all the places that Elvis went to. Like you said to imagine him in his daily life at these places is going to be an experience of a lifetime.

Hey Ray I know I'm about to split the room but I don't care. You really need to watch the new movie "Elvis" with Austin Buttler. This movie/documentary is the closest I've seen of Elvis. The actor worked really closely with Lisa Marie and Presilla throughout the making of it. He went through a 3 year transition to dig into who Elvis was so he could let Elvis perform through him. He sang all the songs except unchained melodies in the movie. Now there are dramatic moments in the movie that aren't true to what truly happened in Elvis's life. But only a couple so that it could be a movie and not another documentary. They are small and don't affect the story being told. I think you will really like it and it will give you a understanding of who Elvis was and the things he went through. You will really like the actor that played Elvis as he is very passionate about Elvis so he went through hell and high waters to respectfully put Elvis's story out there as him. Just watch it and let me know what you think please! I'm excited to hear your reaction and feedback!!

And this is Elvis tamed down for this first worldwide televised concert. I saw him do this live in concert and hooo boy! Talk about raising the temperature in a room. Even a very innocent 10/11 year old knew his moves were doing something....lets say "raunchy".....to the women in the audience. My mom's cousin who attended the 2nd concert with us, who was older than me but a lot younger than mom (and very religious), turned beet red and started fanning herself with the program. 🤣😂

I remember when JFK got killed, and everybody was crying, and I was like "Why's everybody crying over someone they never met, in their life?"----14 years, later, when Elvis died, I cried the entire week, and watched his funeral, and everything; I thought I was gonna die.

I was actually working in the Memphis Fire Dept. dispatch office when Graceland called requesting an ambulance...within 3hrs of them taking him to Baptist Hosp. on Union ave...we were getting calls from around the world(I myself handled calls from: Israel...South Africa....Ireland, etc.

Elvis was a wonderful person inside and out. He raised money for the Arizona Memorial by having a benefit concert. Money raised from Aloha went to cancer research, he also paid for a new wheelchair for a young boy, his wheelchair was broken. Love Elvis. Respect him so much! What a hunk!
