@@sesch137 Sure thing. People walk down the street every day talking about Astley's talent. He was always under-rated. In 1987 I was 16. He was 21. His name was _not_ the one on people's lips in high school, or in college afterwards, or in clubs after that, well into the '90s. Not in the hallways and not on the radio. And then he retired. So yes, he was very under-rated and is a huge talent. Your ascertation that his wealth means he wasn't under-rated is lauighable. When he recorded this, he was 21 years old. This was his debut single in the US and it went straight to #1 for two weeks (March 12th & 19,th 1988) ... three months later, his follow up song, "Together Forever," also went to #1 for a week (June 18th). In recent years, this became a famous meme/gif as why Rick Astley is the perfect boyfriend ... cause "he's never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around and desert you ... never gonna make you cry, never gonna say good bye, never gonna tell a lie and hurt you."

The officiant at my daughter's wedding started quoting "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let down..." during the wedding ceremony. It was a surprise for the bride because she is a huge 80s fan. Everyone loved it!

Finally ! Yeah this song may be an anthem for a whole generation... Definitely 80's vibe. I'd like to see you react to some "Depeche Mode" songs now like "Personal Jesus" or "Enjoy the Silence", just to stay in that 80's mood. Love you guys.
