WWE2K isn't a WRESTLING game anymore.The stiff and clunky combo system is not something I look forward to seeing again. The gameplay for WWE 2K18-20 had really good pacing with OMGs, chain wrestling & abilities/skills. Going back to that type of engine with the new graphics…I believe we would have a masterpiece.

I dont play Myfaction at all. Strictly Universe. My trick is: I don’t follow a time concept. I stay in the year 1997 and I continuously stay within the time period. I use house rules and set challenges with storylines. I have WCW, WWF, ECW, and Japan. That, and a good slider set, you will have a blast like I am.

They need to merge GM Mode and Universe Mode into one. Bring back promos, add backstage segments, contract signings which end in brawls and table spots?? Allow us to toggle between GM mode and classic superstar mode at the same time so we have more control of our universe mode. I think MyFaction improved this year and I think they need to keep investing into MyFaction so we can get more players on the franchise and they can use that revenue to fix or even revamp modes like Universe mode.

Overall, I have had an enjoyable time with the game, but the game breaking issues and created content problems need to be fixed. This game has operated under the same engine, long enough that the code should not be compromised every time a patch update drops. WWE2k24 was the first wrestling game I played and bought in 18 years. Purely on gameplay and visual terms it's the best wrestling game I've ever played and seen. BUT as a product / service including technical issues (such as crashes) I will never buy a 2K wrestling game again. It's definitely a love/hate thing, but I've understood 2K business practices, and there's no way I'm ever giving them my hard earned money again. But, like I said, on pure gameplay terms it's amazing. Their Arena & Show creation mode is mind-blowing.

The CPU AI logic could also use a real update and it's a part of the game I rarely see anyone speak on. Same carry move, they can't set up a table in a non-table match, they either go straight up the ladder in a ladder match or ignore the other person going up the ladder, The personality aspects still don't matter after years and AI feels like they all fight the same making them lack distinct traits. Universe mode is just not dynamic and unpredictable. somehow they took a step back by locking cutscenes behind how intense the rivalry is. They also should allow us to CHOOSE a match winner and still WATCH it. In real life matches are pre-determined we should be able to watch a match that we chose the winner for already.

Honestly I feel like 2K needs to take a 2 year gap at least when making these video games. Because it’s really just starting to look the same just with a few added features and a fresh coat of paint. If you look at the success they had after 2k20 to 2k22, it was a massive improvement along with but fixes. 2k24 has so many bugs that started day 1, but they haven’t fixed them because they are making 2k25, which I feel is unfair for the community and we shouldn’t have to wait a whole year for the next game to have the bugs fixed from the previous game. I don’t know if they have a unit just for bugs and fixes and if they don’t then they need to make one. But overall 2k24 has been a blast since 2k14, but because of the bugs I haven’t been able to enjoy it to the full potential I was hyped for.

I agree. I like wwe 2k24. But the problem is there’s no longevity. And I enjoyed my gm last year. But I don’t care for it this year. Idk if it’s just me but to me it’s over complicated and I have to do what the game tells me rather than what I actually want to do. And universe is the same as it’s been. If they would have at least brought back promos and show intros that would have been nice. And the glitches are very annoying and really hurt the game. I feel like 2k just doesn’t care about the game after launch tbh. But I think 24 in terms of gameplay is fun. But everything else is just kinda empty to me. Nothing to do. No longevity

I don't see any problem with the minigames in the cascade and ambulance match. The REAL problem is simple: They've added niche, SPECIFIC matches. You don't see a cascade or ambulance match every monday night or friday night. Those matches don't need crazy minigame mechanics, because they are specific. Just been ABLE to have them and play them in an universe mode are enough. But there are many, many things that could've been enhanced instead of adding specific niche matches. They could've added more things you could be able to do in other pre-existing match types for instance. 2K is all over the place. I have little hope for this franchise now even tho I still play it through... "alternative" means. In my opinion, sport games are the best games to be live-service (even though I hate live-services). Just drop a goddamn "WWE2K" game and add content on top of it instead of launching a game every year. And then update it after 10 or so years, or drop a new game to update the engine. It worked with CSGO, it would work with WWE, giving it enough time for the team to iterate over previous mechanics, enhance game modes and keep up to date with constant changes, all that while STILL BEEN PROFITABLE.

Create a story combined with a universe mode overhaul being able to create legitimate story’s inside of universe mode like how 2k14 had it and also create a finisher and I know this sounds goofy but maybe an online universe mode so you could do championships and storylines with the homies would be fun

I don't play Myfaction, mygm or casket and ambulance matches often. I haven't used anyone in Pat McAfee pack either. I used the football in a match once, the AI held the football and fought one handed. I agree with your assessment.

At this i only buy the next 2K game for My Rise and i'm on last gen so 2K25 might be my last WWE game for awhile. If i even buy it. It depends on if My Rise is good or not. I'm not gonna lie and act like i don't have fun with the newer games because i do but without much to do is easy to get burned out quick. 2K22 was a great a game. I played the hell out of it. 2k23 was decent and 2K24 is somewhere in between.

So far I'm really enjoying the game especially Special Referee match. I play the game almost everyday using my imagination to come up with my own storyline. I also enjoy the guanlet match as well. 🙂

I’ve been boycotting the 2K series since 2K18 because I was sick and tired of their half-assed games. This year, I decided to give 2K another chance and purchased 2K24. A week later, I asked for a refund. When I bought the game, I had a positive outlook, hoping to see significant improvements since 2K18. I wasn’t expecting a perfect game, but something around an 8-8.5/10-good enough to play all year until 2K25. But, as always, they never failed to disappoint me. Where do I start? First off, let’s talk about Showcase mode. They took the "30 Years of WrestleMania" concept from 2K14 (produced by THQ) and half-assed it. Matches are interrupted by real footage, which completely kills the flow of the game. You have dumb and repetitive objectives to accomplish. In other words, it’s a glorified tutorial. As for the gameplay, it’s fine, although the body mechanics can lead to some hilarious and glitchy moments. My biggest gripe is the removal of chain wrestling. Like, come on. Chain wrestling is the most basic part of a match-90% of matches start with it, and they just removed it. It’s not realistic to start every match with wrestlers assaulting at each other. The pace of the matches should be build progressively. It was a cool feature that was removed, and it changes the whole dynamic of matches. I also find it annoying that every wrestler has the same stupid fighter stance, like they’re in the UFC. Bring back wrestlers’ stances; it made them unique and gave them their own identity. That feature was in SmackDown Shut Your Mouth, for crying out loud. I don’t have any major complaints about the gameplay otherwise, and I think they should stick with that route. Universe mode is a broken mess again, full of glitches that’ll give you headaches and make your eyes roll. The sad part is that the mode is likely maxed out. I still can’t believe they removed promos from the mode. Promos are a huge part of a show-you just can’t properly advance storylines and rivalries without them. Having no promos in a show is like eating a hamburger without meat. It feels bland and incomplete, just like the game as a whole. Removing show intros was also a dumb move. There’s absolutely no transition between matches since there are no segments or backstage interactions. The only thing they added is a bunch of 10-second cutscenes with no substance. The only way to make Universe mode work is by implementing a story designer in it. Universe is the only mode I really care about, but it has little to no substance and gets old very quickly-a glorified exhibition mode. It needs a complete reboot. Unless Universe mode gets major upgrades, I’m still going to boycott the game. MyGM mode is decent but, again, has a lot of limitations. You start with a low budget and a high school gym and have to work your way up. Want to do a Raw vs. Nitro with stacked rosters? Nope, you can’t. Your budget is so limited that you can’t afford it. They should let you choose if you want a small, mid, or high (or infinite) budget, or at least unlock the option. I’d love to do a Monday Night War season, but I can’t because it’s so limited. Also, no 6- or 8-man matches, no Elimination Chamber, no Royal Rumble match (lol), no brand-specific PPVs, and only a 25-week calendar. That said, MyGM is somewhat interesting but still lacks depth. Can’t believe this game is rated 8 out of 10 in most reviews. As long as they keep getting generous ratings, you’re still going to get a half-assed game every year.

For me, showcase was meh. My rise…. It was okay, but Jesse on the prowrestlingshoot, made a good point, if you’re going to make us play it multiple times, there should be a chapters feature, do we can get the things we missed the first time. I finally am playing my gm. I personally like that mode. I’m enjoying it. I haven’t even touched universe mode, because of all the negative stuff I hear about it. And when I played it last year, I got bored really fast. I really hope we get story designer real soon. I think it’s true, it’s really fun downloading and playing other people’s stories, seeing how ridiculous it can be.

@@JustBryanNY it probably fix a lot of stuff. What they could do is ditch showcase ditch my rise as they are. More like combine the modes into like a store mode. It doesn’t even need to be road to Wrestlemania, just a story more. Then, it frees a mode up, and fill it with story designer, and make sure the servers are in good order, so the stories won’t have an issue.

In march the total players I looked was playing was 2.9k something like that then in July and June it dropped 1.3k
