WWE 12's Road to WrestleMania was INSANE!

Back in the late 2000s and early 2010s, whenever a new WWE game would drop, it would feature a mode called "Road to WrestleMania", the mode for the first few years gave you a few different stories to choose from and let you play a mini story mode all about getting to WrestleMania. Road to WM quickly became a fan favorite mode and every year fans were excited for what new stories the developers could come up with. WWE '12 ended up being the last WWE game to have a RTWM mode. Its been 13 years and we never got another. However even though it was the last mode, the developers decided to go out with a BANG. Instead of a few short stories, they decided to make one large mode with 3 stories that all somehow intertwine with each other. A Villain story, an Outsider story and lastly a Hero story. Sheamus, Triple H and Jacob Cass
These three stories ended up being some of the wildest wrestling video game stories we had ever seen, and to this day are iconic for how crazy they got. So I decided 13 years later to go back and revisit these stories and after playing them.. All I can say is, WWE 12's Road to WrestleMania was INSANE!

I got this game for the Wii for my 12th birthday and I remember the first thing I did was play the Road to Wrestlemania mode. The Sheamus story was wild as hell and I still remember that ending with him holding every single belt on his Ultimo Dragon shit. The Triple H story like you said was good, but when it was sandwiched between two all timer stories it's easy to forget. But you know what I'll never forget for as long as I live? The first time I played through the Jacob Cass story. Rey Mysterio was and is still to this day my favorite wrestler of all time so being his student in the story, having him turn on you to side with WCW, defeating him and the rest of WCW in that wild ass final match with that Avengers lineup was something to behold. What a time to be alive man, I wish I could go back and experience it for the first time all over again!

I have always thought that this was the best RTWM and I remember after it was over I kept trying to do stuff like throw someone through the chamber pod, throw them off the stage, throw them into a spotlight, throw them through the titantron, and break the ring by putting someone through the HIAC which as a kid was the coolest thing I seen in a wrestling game. WWE '12 was definitely a different breed, RTWM and universe mode both being complete unabridged chaos, the customization second only to 2k14, I remember sinking hours into universe just to see what wacky crap the game would cook up from show to show. I'd spent so much time on the game that it just outright refused to work on any ps3 I played it on after a while, not a scratch on the disc but no console would play it properly.
