its a shame that meinl is not able to produce a proper tuned wah tube ( this one is somewhere between c and c# - deadly if you play together with tuned instruments. But maybe it is mend as a simple childrens toy - in this case it is ok. )

Well it's not mend as a simple childrens toy. More a what you would call a percussion sound effect. It isn't stated on the sites that the tubes should be in tune. But it's very possible that my demo-model was out of tune incorrectly. May I suggest you take a look at the table tubes from Schlagwerk. Those should be in tune.
