It's true Re completed the dream of a common man by this funtastic 450 Himalayan

Hello my friend, can you inform if this vibrations is similar, higher or lower than the 350cc RE (Meteor, Classic, Hunter)? Regards from Brazil, we're very anxious to the new Himalayan arrive in our country! :D
@RideWithManDeep6 ай бұрын
Compared to 350 cc segment, consider the new Himalayan has no vibrations at all ✊🏽 Plus Don’t be anxious, if you look after the motorcycle properly, this new machine is not going anywhere. This is truly the best bike RE has made

A little hi from France, i've just try this new Himalayan , you're definitly right . The only "bad" vibrations where on the foot pegs, i've change my shoes with thicker soles and it was great. Don't wear sneakers wear some good shoes that will be a good issue. Love your honesty . Thank you

Regarding running in period. Most bike users in India have no clue what running in period is and most riders after purchasing a brand new bike from a show room go straight to the highway to check how fast it can go. Disaster. After investigating for a couple of years I decided to buy a brand new bike rather than second hand as most of them are killed before reaching 1000km

But then again driving normally or even going above 100 for the first 500 km most motorcycles don't suffer that much from break in issue,most 2nd motorcycle suffer from lack of maintenance and periodic maintenance like chain lubing,washing and many more stuff like these,or people having a tendency to continuously driving with the clutch engaged a little bit or not driving at appropriate speeds on the appropriate gear,lugging the engine
@lucaskozlowsky63296 ай бұрын
@@aryanmisra6775I totally disagree. The first 500 km should be driven very softly. At himalayan 411 not exceeding 60km/h. Then up to 2000km it is possible to drive a bit faster 80km/h but still getting above 100km/h will not do good as the piston rings need to settle. Just read a manual.
@RideWithManDeep6 ай бұрын
@@lucaskozlowsky6329 the Himalayan 450 was meant to be kept at 80kmph which it gets at 4000rpm for first 500 and 120kmph at 6000rpm for next 1500. Running in period does affect the he performance and health of any engine. Even tractors for farming are not sent to farm straight away, they do get the running in procedure done on highways first and then do the heavy lifting
@aryanmisra67756 ай бұрын
@@lucaskozlowsky6329 I disagree with that,the manual follows those rules to be on the safe side,but with precision machining nowadays running in so slowly is not that necessary,the 500km oil change is mandatory still yes but even if one goes fast with their motorcycle during break in,the bike won't be damaged like you are making it out to be
@daveh16256 ай бұрын
Have to agree with your observations and it seems the only negative reviews on engine or vibrations have been from test rides, bikes under 400km with 160kph speed tests, test in 'high gear and low speed' and complaining when the engine gets 'lumpy' or multiple zero to 100kph runs. Nothing I have seen has made me question my order last november for my Hanle Black which I hope to have in the next 4 weeks. All the 'owners tests and reports' have been positive and those who did carry out the break-in/running in procedures have proved the validity of following a manufacturers new bike routines.

Completely agree. Most KZbinrs complain about vibration and heat and quality issues. Bruh i also have a Himalayan 450. After a 1000 km running in process, i went to Kerala from Bangalore and came back. Didnt feel any vibration. Dont rev the engine a lot atleast for 1000 km. Plus a small buzz coming from the bike doesnt mean its a bad bike. Its a fricking machine. Dont be a sucker. Its a single cylinder engine. And about NX 500, i did a test ride. That bike also has a small buzz just like the Himalayan. So i don't see the point. Anyways great video bud👍
@RideWithManDeep6 ай бұрын
Cheers mate. Appreciate that support ✊🏽 and good feedback. Sometimes the buzz also comes from the secure Number plate that vibrates with the plastic case that it is in. Even if there were vibrations, so what? Hardcore riders won’t mind some vibrations if the rest of the things are what Himalayan 450 already has ⚙️
@jackfry912315 күн бұрын
Exactly! I mean when you operate a motorcycle you are literally sitting ON TOP of an engine. Of course you will feel it running. There is really no reason to complain unless it is so bad that you feel your body vibrating long after you have stopped riding.

RE as a company really nailed it with the 450...not just that wven shotgun is getting greater positive response overseas... But problem with RE India is the consistency, one unit of Himalayan 450 is good for someone while someone else has a problem... This is highlifhted even by Sagur Sheldekar in his review... So RE should address this soon and probably some buyers can wait for sometime to get it once the PD team fixes these issues...
@thewey4 ай бұрын
Thank you for clarifying this issue. Not following a break-in period can be a huge problem. Here in America, we need good single cylinder motorcycles that can cruise all day at 70mph without hands and feet vibrated into numbness.

I took my new Himalayan 450 on a long 450 km ride, mostly highway, and had nog problems with vibrations. I did feel more vibration than I remember having with my previous Himalayan 411, but that was riding in the city at about 50 km per hr
@kravietz811Ай бұрын
I already drove over 4k km on my Himalayan 450, and it's not completely true what you're saying. I did everything according to manual. I did periodical maintenance at authorized mechanic shop (which is in my home city exactly Harley Davidson's authorized mechanic shop, so I believe they know how to maintenance motorbikes) and I feel vibrations on high revs - above 6k. The level of vibrations is sometimes so high that I can't distinguish shapes in mirrors because they are completely blended. Maybe this is not on every bike like someone pointed, and it's a little bit like lottery if you receive smoothly working engine or this one with vibrations... I don't know. But mine for sure vibrates a lot. I wish I knew what to do to get rid of those vibrations...

First of all there is no such irritating vibration in himalayan I have seen in group rides , if ppl expect it to be silent and boring like a honda then god bless them , you are right that youtuber is totally confused and finally he will settle with an electric bike as he cannot withstand vibrations😂😂😂 after buying many high end bikes😂😂

Comparing it's weight distribution and parallel twin smoothness to an indian midrange ADV is kind of preposterous. You obviously get better bike for more money, duh. Dont know whats gotten into him. It seems u didn't watch his videos completely. From his perspective RE Himalayan 450 no doubt is a good bike under that price segment. But usually for touring if you want between 90-110KMPH (that is between 4.5k - 5.5k rpm) Himalayan do have vibration which could make you tired for long touring ride. This is what he made that point . So before commenting or making fun of someone who has much riding experience kindly watch his videos thoroughly .. 🙂

bhai comparing 450 with nx500 is like comaparing apples and chicken, the argument is as sensible as that, then aruging that we shouldnt eat apples as the chicken is better and tastier.. No doubt that honda is a better brand than the RE but, frankly comparing both w.r.t these motorcycles is stupid.. the guy you are talikng about is always biased against the RE brand because of his past experiences, but generalizing the whole scenario is a bit too much..
