This album serves as a prime example of Hollywood Records' reissue strategy. The Vic Damone tracks here trace their origins to those earlier Silvertone releases. By repurposing these recordings, Hollywood Records provided budget-conscious consumers access to performances that might otherwise have faded into obscurity.
Reviving and repackaging older material was not uncommon among budget labels of the era, allowing them to offer recognizable artists and quality recordings at accessible price points.
