Thanks for the great insights Vic but I had a question, and it is that, is there any connection between Shukracharya and Islam? because there are striking common themes, as below:- 1. Its seen that Rahu's energy is very active in mosques, churches and Durga temples(according to Dr Arjun Pai). Shukracharya being the preceptor of Asuras/king of Asuras might be innfluencial there. 2. In Islam Friday(Shukrabaar) is the holiest day. Friday is the day of Shukra/Venus. Not surprisingly, Hindus consider Thursday as their most sacred and call it Gurubaar. Brihaspati rules Thursday. 3. Shukra's colour is white. Islam uses white in its religious practices extensively ( the mosques, clothes during Haj are usually white) 4. During its 225 days orbit around the Sun Venus makes 5 conjunctions. 360 degrees divided by 5 gives you 72. 72 virgins in heaven 5. Faijr is the 1st prayer of the day starting at pre dawn when Venus comes up 6. Friday, the holiest day of Islam is the 5th day of the week. The number 5 features heavily- 5 prayers a day, 5 pillars of Islam etc Not concluding anything, but just making conjectures.

Ketu is associated with the deity Ganesha, therefore the elephant connotation fits. they share similar mythological stories - their bodies being decapitated by Shiva / Vishnu, just the difference being that Ganesha got a new elephant head, but Ketu's severed body was taken by a Brahmin Mini who raised it like his own son. Lord Vishnu later blessed the body with the head of a serpent.

@Vic at 5.15 you mention that directions are relative. I would think this is true since at least 8 of these directions are always relative (up and down being more absolute than others because up points to heavens and down to earth). However can they be considered absolute with reference to place of birth?

Here is more details on how Shukra hung himself upside down to defeat Devas. It was under Shiva's instruction. Shiva gave Shukra an extremely difficult task to obtain the boon. I would also like to knw more about the 5th and 9th aspects of Rahu n Ketu. I hv ve-ju conjunct in 2nd wth rahu aspecting frm 6th. Also wt abt Su-Ke conjunction? How is the perception of self different frm Su-Ra. U hv only talked abt the eclipses..

It's like birds of same feather like to flock together. And, while looking at Nodes , always check what flavour they bring with them from the Nakhastras. My Rahu helped me with the journey of Jyotish and made me a more aware person of the divinity. I am thankful of Her for that. 🙏❤️🙏

8 Mansions School are used in Feng Shui and may have come from India. South is away from Surya in northern hemisphere and Surya is necessary for growing rice. Sunil says the nodes can be stationary because of Earth's wobble. My nodes are stationary, thus more powerful.

Higher and lower implies that higher is somehow better than lower. Maybe one should say yin and yang actions of the grahas? I'm sure the grahas are acting perfectly, according to circumstance, in fulfilling their divine functions.

I have stationary nodes, my astrological nemesis has stationary nodes. Most significantly - Donald Trump has stationary nodes. My experience is constant chaos. I came to astrology for an explanation of why my life is the way it is...Sun conjunct the stationary direct South Node in the 1st...same degree. The older I grow, the worse my life becomes.

They are where the moons path crosses the suns. We look at them that way. Nodes are in relation to the ecliptic / sun’s plane.

Your charting software should give you the speed of the planets. If it is negative, the planet is retrogressive.
