Two Highlights from this interview: 1. The interviewer is asking the right & sensible questions and not describing a Karan Johar movie shot like the other hosts. 2. Anurag Kashyap's disappointment & pain in the statement "My career exists because of downloads". The irony of Indian cinema. These two are brilliant movie makers and would have been quite famous elsewhere.

Shahbaz khan right on the money on both those points. the interviewer does not have the finesse as some of the other interviewers. But i loved his sincerity, his questions were pertinent, kept emotions in check (didn't praise these 2 great directors), asked the question and let the directors hog the limelight. So many "popular" interviewers are so self-centered. Hope he does more interviews.

My reaction was the same for the interviewer, as an audience he gave us time to think and reflect back on what is being interviewed and to connect. There is also no needless music. Vice never disappoints.

This is how an interview should be. Straight questions with less joking around, simple answers. People are complaining about the interviewer, I'm sorry that he wasn't interested if Kashyap liked mangoes or no.

Loved the bromance (chemistry) between these 2 directors. I hope newbie directors get opportunities to assist them and learn from them. That line from Vikramaditya where he talks about increasing the conflict between characters says it all. Also, I saw the frustration that Anurag and Vikramaditya had about people watching their work on our phones. I think they should understand that it is a reality that they need to accept (and not fight with). Phones are the most convenient medium. As Anurag said, their audience has things to do so they watch their movies when (and how) they find it convenient.

On second thoughts.. Interviewer did a very good job infact, he had a nonchalant , a no nonsense , no bakachodi attitude. This interview had many insights too ( show runner, they don't go on each other's sets etc.) .. And in the last he even brings out the recommendations for us .. And it's not about being rude or polite , it was his poker face kind of thing which even the guests seemed to enjoy . It reflected in the ' Chalo Bye ' too, a freindly gesture and not the one that tells that they are Gods or Baaps ( as many in the comments are expressing .. Surprisingly they r also talking abt Salman shit n stuff.. while rejecting a 'novel/hat ke ' kind of interview.. )

7:42.. ppl go n watch movies like ek tha tiger without putting mind to it.. they see a long weekend after weeks of rut.. see where can they go.. if they can't plan a trip outside the city (which they mostly can't) they go to the mall... they watch whats the shows r available at suitable times..what's going on the screen in front of them (it helps that most of big studio films are kid friendly).. eat some "bahar ka khaana" in the mall.. their kids play in those play areas.. n they get back to home.. these kind ppl don't want to see movies that them think.. unfortunate reality

A few days ago i watched Anurag speaking in Josh talks and i was blown away by his level of honesty, intelligence and clarity. He is one of the most intelligent people Bollywood has and is aware of what he is doing. Plus i love his sense of humour 😄 This guy is so underrated. I don’t have Twitter neither other social media but it was disheartening to know that he left Twitter due to some assholes who cannot bear freedom of speech. Anurag please know i am a big fan and continue making the movies you do, they are outstanding.
