Vick Almighty shows

In this video, Vick Almighty shows how to restore a pair of COOKED Air Max 90s. Vick Almighty begins this restoration by cleaning the shoes with Reshoevn8r products, after inserting a Shoe Tree, Vick attacks the inside and outside of the shoe with Reshoevn8r Advanced Sneaker Cleaning Solution. After letting the suds break down the dirt and grime on the shoe, Vick moves on to the Medium bristle brush to remove the filth that is deeper in the shoe’s mesh and leather areas. Vick then grabs the last brush, the Stiff Bristle, and attacks the outsole. Now that Vick is done scrubbing Solution on the shoe, he places the shoe in a Sneaker Laundry Bag and pours Reshoevn8r Sneaker Laundry Detergent into our brand new washer. After the shoes are thoroughly washed and dried, Vick tries to cure the yellowing on the Air Max’s rubber areas by applying Salon Care 40 to the midsole. After that, he covers them in plastic wrap and lets them cook in the sun for about an hour. After the rubber is back to normal, Vick preps the shoe for painting with acetone and cotton balls. Vick then puts a few coats of paint on the shoe to give the shoe some more life. He uses white and black paint, as well as a shade of custom mixed blue, to perfectly match the Laser Blue colorway. Once Vick is done painting, he uses superglue to fix a rip in the sock liner. To finish off this restoration Vick sprays the shoe with Krylon Matte Finish to protect the paint job.

I've had a restoration on a Pair of Air Max 90 Infrared Vintage from 2013 and it also had a big big mark on the toebox. So I just took some white color and mixed it with water, then pressed it into the mesh and it was gone!

I got a question. When cleaning how can we prevent color bleed? All the air maxs ive had have almost been ruined because the side part would bleed its color (the part you painted blue) into the midsoles or rarely into the mesh.

They will crack indeed... I don't know why all shoe restorers hide that fact... it will last if you don't wear them... but after one walk they will all wrinkle and crack... 😥

We put them in the washing machine to get the best deep clean possible. Our Laundry System makes it safe to do so!

You should have done one where the actual soul has been removed from the shoes before you begin. It would be very interesting seeing how you fix a “flat tire” heel. Like on all my identical air max 90s the back left heels’ have all been eroded down through the rubber on the bottom of the shoe to some sort of a card board. Looks like it’s from driving? Maybe pressing my shoe in such a way near the peddles while driving overtime perhaps ruined the back of these shoes. I would like to figure out how to fix this issue I have a lot of air max 90s with the same problem and I would love to know how to fix them. They are such a classic shoe. I LOVE them. I have them in a few different colors!
