Studying the lessons one by one isn't too hard. The challenge seems to be in the building up of knowledge, sorting out the pieces and puzzling them together to make a single sensible sentence. It really is a humbling experience like you said. Thank you for these comprehensive lessons!

I'm so glad I came across your channel. You explain everything so well. Thank you for making this video, this sentence structure is one that has been really confusing for me to learn, but I think I get it now.

This is a truly excellent lesson. I've watched about three other videos on this topic and gone over a massively long website explanation elsewhere, but still just couldn't understand this. For whatever reason, I just couldn't understand/grasp the correct word order mainly. With your lesson, it now makes much more sense, so hopefully I've grasped it now. Thank you very much for the excellent teaching. 이것은 훌륭한 수업이에요. 정말 고맙습니다. 저는 이 문법이 제가 전에 이 본 수업을, 이해하지 않았요. 하지만 지금 이것은 많이 잘 이해해요.

Thanks Miss Vicky and don't worry about live vs not live. I prefer not live only because I can stop to take good notes and try to understand and take time to answer rather than be on the spot but I can do that with an uploaded live class too! It's good they have so much detail so we learn more:)

Another excellent class by an excellent teacher. However, for those who are still not quite grasping the concept, it may be because Koreans don't use pronouns the same way English speakers do. For example, Miss Vicky wrote "the woman I love" and "the man reading a book". What if we inserted pronouns like "that" and "who" into these clauses. It would change to "the woman (that) I love" and "the man (who is) reading a book". It's easy to pick out the nouns "woman" and "man" and place them at the end of the clause. But now it's easier to find which words to modify by simply choosing all the words AFTER the words "that" and "who". the woman (that) I love 사랑하는 여자 the man (who is) reading a book 책을 읽는 남자

선생님! I'm sorry to trouble you again but in this video you said (at 23: 19) you'll make another lesson about the usage of "이 / 가 " subject markers instead of "은 / 는" in these type of sentences. With all due respect, i just wanted to know if you made it because i can't find it on your channel. But if you didn't that's perfectly fine! That's not to pressurize you or something. I just wanted to know, I'm already grateful for all of your videos. Thank you.

Miss Vicky! I've a question. At 31:43 why is the verb acting as the object "study" = 공부를 and why is it separate from 하는 (do), instead of 공부하는? I've been following every single lesson of yours lately and I'd appreciate it if u could help me out just this once~♡
@ohlookadandelion3 жыл бұрын
Im sorry if its late but both mean the same ! If we remove 하다 from 공부, we create the noun form of 'study' 공부를 해요= 공부해요
@sonia46613 жыл бұрын
Hi Vicky, I've been struggling with this sentence structure for ages. I've been testing myself on these and I still can't get my head around ones with 2 clauses. E.g. I washed the blanket (which) I bought yesterday. E.g.2 I went to the shop which just opened around my house. I don't want to just reverse an English sentence into a Korean one (which seems to be in most cases). My thinking always goes back to 'the verb comes last' scenario which is why I'm struggling.
