The fruit and produce markets of Port Vila in Vanuatu, Pacific Ocean - the markets of Port Vila in Vanuatu. Let's visit one of the most scenic fruit and produce markets in the Pacific Ocean, the market of Vanuatu's' capital, the city of Port Vila. The lively markets in Port-Vila in Vanuatu offer a vast array of produce, ranging from local fruits and vegetables-yams, coconuts, pawpaw-to handicrafts and souvenirs such as carvings, jewelry and clothing. Housed in a large, covered area, the markets in Port-Vila in Vanuatu are open 24 hours a day, except Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Many stalls at the markets in Port-Vila in Vanuatu are run by women from local villages, who spend a week or two at a time in Port-Vila selling their wares. Put together a waterside picnic with some of the tropical fruit and prepared items from the food stalls.
Port Vila is the harborside capital and main hub of Vanuatu, on Efate island. Its small downtown is home to colorful market stalls selling produce and local handicrafts. The National Museum of Vanuatu, inside the Vanuatu Cultural Centre, displays artifacts such as slit-gong drums and outrigger canoes. The town is a base for diving and trips to Mele Cascades, a multi-tiered waterfall with rock pools in a rainforest.

@VicStefanu...this non traveler would like to ask a world class traveler/historian/videographer a question. Would you advise travelers to convert to local currency Use credit/debit card? Quickly, I am not sophisticated enough to make a conversion off the top.
@VicStefanu
@VicStefanu 8 жыл бұрын
+Jay Young Hi Jay, if I had a choice between a credit or a debit card, I would definitely use the debit card. Credit cards carry very heavy fee for getting money [in advance] in local currencies and in general, debit cards are less expensive.. During my world tour, one of the main sources of expenditure was exactly this, the fee using my debit card for getting local currencies at the ATM machines.. I would estimate that 3-4% of the total money that I spent was attributed to using the debit card but this is something I had accounted for (and which was unavoidable)..

Hi We live in Port Vila , they were oranges not grapefruit and what you called lettuce was Chinese cabbage . We only get what is in season throughout the year as the seasons change. If you would have asked the ladies in the stalls you would have got the info right. Good video but bad research.
