Let me be clear, there are no guarantees of what I'm about to say. His ceiling is the GOAT. Even with how incredibly gifted he is he'll need some luck in avoiding injuries and a few other things, but his play as a 20 year old shouldn't be possible even with his length. He seems to have a pretty deep understanding of NBA level ball already a little over halfway through his first season.

This is phenomenal. The potential is huge. I was born in '73 so i watched Kareem, Hakeem, Dirk, David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Ewing, Garnett, Weber, KD, and no doubt the most dominating of all - Shaq. All were greats. But this kid is really something. There's something different about him.

They'll surely do far better than this year but we're not realistically looking at a play-in/off spot next year. The team as a whole isn't good enough yet. They will be eventually but don't be shocked to find that the team that actually gets you to the playoffs will look a lot different than the current one. But you have a core that is forming. Keep them together for two years and things will improve markedly. Sincerely, A random Magic fan.

Edit: I got my DRTG stats from a while ago, so they're outdated now. Also, I never said wemby wasn't good. I was just pointing out why Chet is in contention for ROTY by pointing out stats. Just because you guys want more to fight over, how about usage rate? Wemby has a 31.9% usage rate as of Feb. 13, and Chet's is 21.5%.

Having a lot of blocks doesn't mean they play very good defense. Look at prime Deandre Jordan, rookie Mitchell Robinson, they have plenty of blocks but bad defensive positioning and low basketball IQ (just saying, I'm not saying Wemby is)
