VICTORIA STREET MARKET is Durban's oldest market and a hub of culture and activity.
The parking is underground and we spotted a security guard on duty. Walking up the stairs, you get to the entrance to the market. It was very quiet when we visited, but still experienced an amazing atmosphere. Smells of spices and the vibrancy of all the colours was a treat for the senses. Shop owners are welcoming and friendly and were keen to tell us their stories. The highlight was Aunty Pam's Kitchen, the food was tasty and delicious and Aunty Pam herself is so kind and treated us like we've known each other for a long time. We also enjoyed getting a spice tour at Asian Delights. Nana gave us the tour, she let us taste the spices and mixed up the perfect combination of Durban spice.

Always love your bloops! We LOVE markets the closest we’ve come in US to overseas markets are in DC & Philadelphia PA here in the US.
