Thanks for the video. It brought back memories of my dad and I walking down the steps many times in the 1970s. I remember the whaling station as a place where the men used long sharp spears to cut the whales and the horrible smell of the whole place. Also remembered at the end of the pipe leading into the sea was the whale blood seeping into the sea. My dad use to go crayfishing at Ansteys beach. Thanks for the memories.

For coffee one of the best places is inside the Pick n Pay just down the road from the beach, most just know it as Nick's since he is the owner but the food is amazing and the coffee is really good

That beach at the whaling station looked incredible! And so interesting to see what an abandoned whaling station looks like today. The beach bar would call to my husband and I too. You guys definitely had a LOT of stairs on this visit. I spotted Catan! That is a wonderful accommodation view - but weird that there's no bathroom door! 😅

We lived on the Bluff from 2004-2012. Our children can say that they were born on the Bluff. Love this place will always have a special place in my heart. We now live in Ireland. The next time you on the Bluff go to Wentworth Hotel for a curry

I live opposite Casbah. The Bluff truly is amazing and believe me, I HIGHLY DOUBT Harlequins Sports Club was closed. The drone shots were beautiful, I agree Cara. I cannot believe the restaurant never had water in order to make you a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Have they not heard of bottled water, the 5 litre bottles? LOL When you do come back, you should do a separate and in-depth video on the Bluff's two flea markets - the one at Harlequins and the one at The Dutch Club.

Hi Mpho 👋 We filmed this video the last weekend in May. Normally the weather at the coast is nice till about half way through July…bad weather normally starts around August. The only problem is that most beaches are still closed due to the floods 😢 so you’ll just have to check up on that before you come 😬 Hope this helps 😊
