I cried when she died, I never met her, but felt I had. I have watched Dinnerladies a million times, the greatest stand up we ever produced. Thank you Victoria.

Yep bad year for me too. The loss of David Bowie and Victoria Wood. First time I cried for "celebrities" who died. 2 people who made being me, okay, and alright to be abit odd, a bit different.

A very clever and talented writer and a very, very funny woman. I still can't believe that she is no longer here with us, cheering us up.

God bless her. Much missed in a special way that very few performers could ever lay claim to.

Victoria was an absolute genius. She had a computer brain for creating the funniest sketches and lines one after the other for different characters . Dinner Ladie's is supreme comedy.

Victoria Wood what can I say about this genius comic and write up everything She Wrote starred in performed directed was top notch. I said to a friend the other day what is the worst thing to Chorleywood has starred in written in produced in all done a voice over for you couldn't think of anything just like the actor Kevin Whately everything he does is brilliant can't go wrong. If Victoria had been alive today what things would you have written produced directed starred in what I have voice over for will never know the things you haven't done that I believe she could have done really good ask was host her own radio show so I think of Steve Wright does on BBC Radio 2.

She actually had a massive falling out with ITV. They'd bought the rights to Pat & Margaret but felt that the draft she'd given them was incoherent and needed a lot of work. Very angry, she bought the rights back from ITV and then sold it to the BBC who had similar reservations and got other people in to tidy it up.

A friend of mine worked with VW on the musical version of Acorn Antiques. Let’s just say it wasn’t a happy experience. I’m not decrying her obvious talent but she wasn’t as saintly as presented.

Where is Victoria presented as saintly? Certainly, she would be the first to deny that moniker, and often admitted her perfectionism ruffled the feathers of many a costar. She claimed her ultimate responsibility was to present the best show possible to her audience, not to coddle actors.
