It was nice to see the old Overgate again. Reminded me of being taken there by my da every Saturday. Excellent pics, funny to see all these old buildings looking pristine white whereas now they're weather worn and much darker in colour. Great video of a great city.

The picture of Panmure House( 1:35 ) was on Panmure Estate, near Monikie and was built in the mid 17thC. It was demolished in the 1960's. It was one of the finest baronial houses in Angus. 5:32 shows a warehouse in West Dock St. where my Grandfather, then father had a potato store. (Drydens). 3:07 and Shepherd's Loan where my Grandmother's family ran a dairy ( Bathie's)

It must have been a fascinating town at that time. It is really a shame that some interesting buildings and monuments such as "The Pillars", the Royal Arch and many others had to disappear. However, others still remain and shows us the splendour of Dundee during the linen and jute era. By the way, why don´t we bring the tram back like Edinburgh?

Many of the buildings are still intact, but look so different because there are no cars. St.Andrew's cathedral is in the Nethergate-not Perth Road.
