Hi, beautiful bracelet! What size is the needle? How do you know what size needle and thread to use?
@Potomacbeadco Жыл бұрын
Hello there! She is using a size 10 needle. Size 10 needles are thicker and have a bigger eye. Size 12 needles are thinner and have a smaller eye. DragonThread comes in sizes 5, 6, & 8 with 5 being the thinnest. When your project requires tiny beads such as 15/0's it is better to use a thinner thread and thin needle. The same is true if your project requires many passe through the beads - use a thinner thread and thin needle. With this bracelet, it uses 11/0 seed beads and 4mm bicones - a size 8 thread with a size 10 needle is just fine. This video on threads may help www.potomacbeads.com/better-beader-episode-005-everything-you-need-to-know-about-beading-thread

@Potomacbeadco Thank you so much for this informative reply! I keep forgetting about the extensive videos offered to train beginners! I have downloaded this one and am hoping to someday create my own work. Until then, I am sticking with your kits for now so I can build on the techniques.

Love this bracelet with the DiscDuos Allie, (I didn't know they were a Potomac exclusive!) I have several colors and I love them! Can't wait to give this one a try, have you ever tried to build it from the center out? Just curious... 🥰 Love you guys!

The front photograph shown here and the one following looks as if the bracelet is made of discduo beads and pearls, but as you get to start the bracelet you are describing crystals and pearls; is there any reason why? Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful bracelet either way...very pretty.
