How unaustralian we voted NO to the referendum and the government continues to go through with it . People have no say, no voice, no choice. This is our government's answer to the NO vote. This is ridiculous, our prime minister needs to not be elected again

A "Voice" to Parliament for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders - already exists through legislation. It’s called the ‘National Indigenous Australians Agency’ -with an annual budget of $2,595 million. Its purpose, set out in legislation is, "To ensure Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People have a say in the decisions that affect them" And its responsibilities include, "To provide advice to the Australian Government " Therefore, the entire premise of altering our Constitution to create "The Voice" or "State Treaty's" because Indigenous Australians currently don‘t have a voice to Parliament in decisions that effect them - is based upon a lie.

Treaty doesn't stop the grievances or change the past.. In 2015 the West Australian government signed a settlement (treaty) with the Noongar people for over $1Billion (reparations). Both the state and federal governments have said sorry.. So even after sorry, treaty and reparations i still get told that Im living on stolen land and that Im a genocidal colonist.. The grievances remain and the socio-economic outcomes haven't improved. Its been nothing more than a transfer of wealth obtained through manufactured guilt... 🤔🤷‍♂️
