The Federal Government is duty bound to override this treaty after the clear majority voted NO in the VOICE REFERENDUM !!If not ,the Labor government owes the taxpayers $ 450 million. Labor politicians should be personally liable through asset sales,if no other means of payment can be worked out.These Labor governments are verging on criminality and its time the people stood up. They are running roughshod over the electorate!!

Let's be honest here. The indigenous groups pushing for treaty are activists who know what they can get out of the system if they keep pushing hard enough. Unfortunately they are be enabled by radical state government leaders. Since colonisation, the first nations people have never had it so good. Especially over the last 30 years years. If wasn't for colonisation there would be no well paid indigenous politicians, no well paid indigenous athletes such in the NRL. No indigenous Olympians and the list goes on. There are disadvantage indigenous and non indigenous peoples all around Australia. These people should be looked after first and foremost. If indigenous activists are so unhappy with what colonisation has brought to the table, then give up white man's influences and benefits and see where you end up.

Read William Buckley's account of how in October 1803 he landed in Port Phillip Bay as a convict. in december 1803 William escaped into the bush and lived with Wathaurong tribe for 32 years as a white aboriginal At that time in history their was No Victoria, No Melbourne. First contact, minimal influence from white Europe. An eye opener for those who are interested (and wowsers who have listened to false doctrine) Early accounts show this Country was never a Peaceful Eden but was a landmass with 250 different languages and 800 dialects with many opposing ideas which were stoutly contested and there was not only skirmishes and massacres both ways, but there was also conciliation and working partnerships History isn't so Black and White !

There’s always three sides and that includes the truth. They ignore the truth and don’t want to hear about how they really lived and treated each other. Where would they be without colonialism and government support? If they are so unhappy then return all your assets and return to your lifestyle of 60,000 years ago. Good luck with that.

You know, I have learnt years ago - sanity must be earned. When people get indulged with money, their motivation to achieve, contribute, grow vanish. If people are happy to ride the wave of victimhood- that is where they will remain. With all opportunities they were given there is no excuse not to drag yourselves out from nothingness and be part of Australia. Instead they will keep sucking .

If the Aboriginal "Nations" are legitimate then shouldn't each nation be negotiating with local councils on an individual basis?
@wyattfamily8997
@wyattfamily8997 Күн бұрын
There never was and never has been an Aboriginal "Nation". They were/are disparate tribes that often fought and stole from each other. The "Nation" title is a recent marketing exercise to indicate "status" so that lobbying could be more effective, nothing more. Much the same as the "ancient welcome to country", was developed by Ernie Dingo and Richard Whalley in Perth in 1976 to provide a ceremony to welcome other indigenous people of the South Sea Islands to an International Conference.

Genuine question... If you looked into the ancestoral bloodlines of indigenous people of Australia for the past 50k years and the ancesterol bloodlines of white immigrants for 250 years contact with indigenous Australians, which bloodlines contain more harm towards indigenous Australians? Since colonisation the Indigenous population has risen, the education rates have risen, standard of living has risen, life expectancy has risen.. Thats terrible "harm" and absolutely points to "jenosyde"... 🤔🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

To get an accurate description of how pre-colonial Aborigines lived, read some of the late history lecturer William D. Rubinstein's articles, starting with Life and Death in Pre Contact Aboriginal Australia, and also Aborigines and the Question of Genocide. Also read Harvard professor Stephen Pinker's: The Better Angels of Our Nature, which describes very high levels of H/G (inter and intra) tribal violence, including among Aborigines.

We are not allowed to talk about it, the dreamy, star gazing Aboriginals wouldn't hurt a fly. It is all us, discussing colonizers. And so, now, they really can spend their lives stargazing while we, colonizers, breaking our backs working all life so they can be compensated. Feels like they are prepared to do something for the good of THEIR country- they keep welcoming us to THEIR country. What times we are living in....
@sentimentalbloke185

It's not so much apartheid that's being proposed, it's more an artificial aristocracy that will have exclusive access to certain resources & monies, along with land (where the general population can be shut out) & annual payments to individuals who only have to claim they have one single aboriginal ancestor. This harks back to old world Britain & Europe with a feudal system that protected a tiny fraction of the populace, due to their ancestry, as being 'special' & able to lord it over the rest without challenge, without being elected. Obviously, with so benefits on offer, many more claimants will be forthcoming; we've already seen that happen in the last 20 years or so. Once people become, generally, more aware of the reparations proposals, it will turbocharge the number of claims & make a bad situation even worse.

What do the First Nation People want now this time? Be specific and propose. The indigenous people in Tasmania have been wiped out. They were mistreated, women raped, men spread out, etc, how can they be compensated when they are almost gone out of the history? Ethnic cleansing did take place in Australia by the British.
