Im sending my love to you and Mabel! Happy to see she's around and kicking. Not long after a video or two ago, my own ham Pepsi crossed the rainbow bridge unexpectedly but peacefully in her sleep, at only 15 months. She had the best life with the biggest cage and all kinds of enrichment and bedding thanks to you. I know your hams, Mabel included, are thriving and even though they're with us such a short time, they're having the best time!

Hack for helping hams w walnuts, take a screwdriver to the soft spot on the south end of the nut and gently push it, it will start splitting the nut open just enough so they can finish the job.

I'm happy that both Lola and Mabel are doing well. ❤ Walnuts are great boredom breakers! I give them to my Nosey once a month, but since he is a dwarf hamster I always crack them of course. If you can crack one in a way that only one small corner is missing you can empty it out and put other treats in so he has to work for them. It's so fun to watch!

I’m so glad that Mabel is doing well! I really hope that soon I can make an ikea cage with at least 850 square inches of floor space. I was planning to get guinea pigs after hamsters but now that I’ve researched more about them, I wouldn’t be able to fit a cage for them in my room. So I’m sticking with hamsters! 😊

This is kind of hilarious! I kept getting recommened shrimp & snail videos which led me to also set up a small shrimp/snail tank about 4 months ago. Started with about 12 Orange Sakura Shrimp & now I have around 20 of them. Plus a couple amano shrimp, snails, and tons of thriving aquarium plants including floaters.

OMG- THIS IS A LITTLE LATE BUT IM SO HAPPY YOUR GETTING SHRIMPS!!! I have a 10 gallon with a variety of neocaridinas and they’re so cute! Literally everyone in my house comes into my room to watch them swim and they love to come onto my finger and chill out, aaaaa i love them so much! I’m happy to hear Mabel is active! Recently my Hamster named Sugar developed some neurological problems (she started stargazing and pacing around her enclosure in the same spot) and I’m getting her to the vet’s as soon as I can! Thankfully Sugar is still as active as ever and loves her snacks :]

I buy the same PC Organic baby food brand carrot and sweet potato , I tend to avoid other veggies that have lemon citrus mixed in it. Now that I see you feeding Mabel this one, I'm going to try that flavor. Glad to see her doing well🥰🥰

Got my first hamster: Happy and she became friendly in less than 2-3 days. Nowadays she comes out to play in morning also and in evening its mandatory to open cage door and she goes inside bags and comes up on bed but she is clean and returns home by herself when done. Have given a piece of cloth and she have built a warm lace in the wheel where she is sleeping and not going elsewhere to sleep. She knows how to take up the cloth to be warm. I bought some dry treats for her but she's not eating any of it nor she eats when she's out roaming the house.

I remember a while ago when I got my fist hamster (sadly, yes, from a pet store) my mom tried to convince me to hold it and test if any of them would bite, thanks to you I politely refused and just chose a dwarf hamster. Thanks so much for making sure those hamsters were safe and not as scared 😅❤️

Mabel and all of your other pets are so cute! Sadly my hamster just died. His name was Mocha,and he was a fluffy brown hamster. He was very adventurous. He did have a long life though 2 and a half years to be exact,and we have a lot of stories about him,but he started to look old and sick and a few days ago he had stopped breathing. He had a big cage,nice bedding,and lots of toys. But Remember: They may not be your forever But to them your there forever❤

I have always hit the walnuts with a hammer for my hammy friends. Just to get it some open spots and cracks. Maybe I should let them work their way through the shell for enrichment. I just wasn't sure if they could do it.

This video came out, and I will be honest I skipped straight to Mable. I watched the rest of the hammie part and something told me to go check on my hamster, Nabi, who looks just like dipper but a little more orange. She was behind her wheel, shaking uncontrollably and cold. I swaddled her in some towels and turned on a heating pad and sat with her in the bathtub petting her head/neck. I'm going to credit you and Mable that I could hold Nabi and that she didn't die alone in her cage.

I know I’m late to this video…. But I recently got a new hamster and she uses the same spot she stores her food and sleeps to pee. It’s also in the middle of her burrow system. How often should I clean it, and is there anything I can do? Thanks
