I can’t relate. I’ve gotten used to not even asking my mom and just asking my dad and buying it with my own money. My mom then would just say she didn’t want any animals but then spoil the hamster. i’m rewatching old videos! yay! my first hamster was a robo, and he was very comfortable with me. he was being held by the third day he was very happy on my hand and he was just sat there. it made me feel really happy 😂❤️

I got two robo hamsters and they had a nice big bin cage and they were doing fine and a month later one of my hamsters was eating a part of my other hammies back and I was really shocked and scared when I saw this so I put them in different cages and they are happy and healthy now :)

All the tips I can give are in that video, I would just say continue to work with your hamster and be patient.

Try wearing gloves and washing your hands with un-scented soap before handling them if you haven't already. Also, is your cage over the minimum? If not they could be territorial over their cage and bite if your hand is in their cage, and are you scared when you handle/touch them? They can sense if you are scared and it may trigger them to bite you - my hamster used to bite me during the taming process and I would say the best thing to do is let them bite you - once they realise you're not a threat they may stop. However, if they do not let go I would recommend lightly blowing at them which causes them to let go. Another thing that can cause biting is if you startle them - for example do you touch them without them sensing/knowing you are there (from behind), if so, make sure they are aware of your presence first. Also, have you tried offering them food from your hands? Sorry for the long comment XD Idek if this will help but I tried xD

I’m torn between getting a hamster (which are the most cutest things in the mammal world) or a leopard gecko( which are the cutest little things in the reptile world) I’ve done my fair amount of research on both animals and I’m torn, I dunno what to do does anyone have any experience on either one of these animals?

I've never had a leopard gecko so i can't be much help but, hamster's have a shorter lifespan (1.5-2, sometimes 3 years) so maybe it would be better to start with a hamster?

I’ve had experience with both reptiles and hamsters, and I would recommend getting a hamster if you are looking to save money because leaped geckos need special lighting and heating. Overall, I would say I would recommend a hamster because their is much more you can do with them and I find them easier to tame.

I own both and I would recomend a hamster over a leopard gecko leopard geckos have alot of supplementary requirements and go into brumation (hybernation for reptiles) and females have ovulation and sometimes even lay eggs they are just alot of stress lol hamsters are also alot morr interesting to watch and interact with and they don't get as stressed as easy. Hamsters overall are just cheaper, allooot less stressful, and just more interactive pets. Hope this helps!

(I'm fifteen) My parents said that if my room is clean for 6 months straight (of course I need to keep it clean afterwards), I get to have a hamster- after six other months, another animal etc. It helps get through depressive, anxious and compulsive habits, plus you get rewarded for your efforts with zoo therapy which is amazing. If my room isn't clean for one day, the countdown resets to zero. (Learn more about the animal you're thinking of having during those six months!)

Syrian hamsters can also use a chin spin, this wheel is made for chinchillas but works great for syrian! It is a bit more costly though

I so agree with the hamster balls. My hamster crashed into the walls, the lid fell off and she escaped. Its just not safe. My girl was mental, hyperactive and ran for miles on her wheel. I have an huge wheel for my girl Minnie, silent wheel, she loves it. She also has the 100cm base Manny Rat Cage which is full deep of substrate, tubes, water bowl and shelving. I also inserted a big sturdy cardboard box inside, put her wheel on top, she loves the cardboard box. Brilliant ideas. I also bake her your fruit puree, oat/flour/water treats and I have put them in a jar. I bought some small cookie cutters especially. Thank you for your videos. I subscribed.
