I love my Fieldmaster. As an engineer and someone who doesn’t drink, I opted for this over the Huntsman purely for the Philips driver. (I’ll probably pick up a Huntsman as well… who am I kidding 🤣). Great video as always buddy! Hope you have a great Christmas Gus 😁

Would I prefer a second blade over a nail file ? Every time Gus . Mind you I ' ve got gardener's hands . You know I love a Vic , and the Fieldmaster is a particularly fine one , but one thing bugs me . Why are they too tight to include the pin ? Are profit margins that keen ? The first Victorinox I bought! Looked at quite a few models before selecting this toolset, and am very pleased with it. The Fieldmaster lives in my jacket pocket and I use it almost every day. Added some nice translucent blue plus scales for the pen.

Greatest tool set but I’ve had problems with this model. The screw driver bottle opener when closing has hardly any snap on the final part of the closure, try yours . Great video as always. Oh and yes , the nail file would be great 👍🏻 😊

Thanks Gus , yes I have about 5 of the field master and all suffer from the same weakness, the detent on the final 25percent of the close on the screwdriver bottle opener, most of my other models have a nice snap back especially the alox range , so I sent them back for improvement, I find the super tinker has no such problem. But you lose the wood saw. Sorry for the bad English and erratic rambling, and I’ve spent most of the last 2 weeks in hospital with my mum

Thanks Gus. Loved the review. I think I prefer the Huntsman over the Fieldmaster. I am not a huge fan of the back tool phillips screwdriver. I have asked Santa for an Explorer which has the in-line phillips....😎

Love this model but I prefer the huntsman I don’t really drive a lot of screws I work with knots all of the time uk legal too I carry the explorer plus usually in yellow. Merry Christmas 🫶🏻

The pen blade is great to keep mint and razor sharp while you use the main blade for everyday use.
