I really admire your videos and lifehacks! I've had a victorinox handyman pocket knife for a few years but I never used the metal file or saw because I was worried that it may wear out and I won't be able to replace it. Does it wear out very fast from your experience or using it for appropriate tasks makes it a long-lasting tool?

I have been using Victorinox from 1987 and no tools have worn out,just use your tools with the right way.Victorinox also provides a lifetime warranty and service.thanks.

Use the metal saw like a marlin spike to help untie knots if your SAK has no marlin spike.

Thanks for the video! One quick note though: the older file is made from chrome-plated carbon (rusting) steel, no kevlar there.

The new version made by stainless steel,has silver polish color and it is thicker.The older version made by hard-chrome plated,kevlar,has grey color and it is thinner.Thanks.

Καλησπέρα και οι δύο πλευρές κάνουν για μέταλλο απλά η μία είναι πιο άγρια,για να λιμαρει πιο αποτελεσματικά σκληρά υλικά και η άλλη πλευρά δίνει πιο ομαλή μορφή στην επιφάνεια που λιμαρει.η πλευρά που έχει την υποδοχή για το νύχι, είναι η πιο ομαλή,το καταλαβαίνεις και κατά την χρήση,σκαλωνει πιο δύσκολα.Ετυχε και την χρησιμοποίησα προς μια πλευρά,όπως σε βολεύει κάθε φορά.Το βίντεο έχει Ελληνικους υπότιτλους,τα νεότερα βίντεο είναι και στα Ελληνικά, ευχαριστώ.

When it comes to cutting wood, what size wood is this tool capable of cutting? It is known that the wood saw is irreplaceable, but can the metal saw be a worthy substitute?

You need the red tip ones. What you're looking for are non safety matches that strike anywhere.

@@nikgyver7 there are 2 types of matches. To strike them on the file you need them to be "strike anywhere" type - they will strike on any rough surface And it has nothing to do with colour of its tip

It looks painful when you try to sharpen this box cutter blade. It is too hard for the file. I would not do this unless I have to
