I'm in IT and bought a Cyber Tool L about 6 months ago. I carry it almost everyday and it's really an indespensible tool. I've installed servers, UPS power units in server racks, routers, etc, opened battery compartments for my kids' toys, taken splinters out my kid's hands, used some parts of the knife to build models, changed SIM cards, sliced fruit, repaired my eyeglasses, opened wine, trimmed all of my nails, and beyond. These things are really useful. I haven't had an isssue with the non-locking blade thus far but the utility overall is just too useful to pass up. The customer service, availability of replacement pieces, and repairability really makes a case for these items. I love mine and gift their products to friends.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s amazing how versatile the Cyber Tool L is-you’ve used it for everything from IT work to family life! The fact that it’s repairable and has excellent customer service really does make it stand out. Gifting them to friends is such a thoughtful idea-it’s the kind of tool that keeps giving! 👍

I am 57 now, and own my Champ since I was 20 or so. I think it was their newest model when I bought it. And I have loved it ever since. I call it my tool box. I got my name engraved in it too. I do love your pouch, I got one too, but without the side and sleeve pockets (really love that pouch). Still, after 37 years, I love it, and use it rather often. And everything is still like it was the day I bought it. Even the pen, it still writes.

I’ve had mine for almost 30 years and in that time I’ve found all the tools to be useful. About 5 years ago I dropped it while travelling for a year and cracked one of the scales. I was gutted but then, when I got home I found you can replace them so I did with transparent green ones. I love it even more and now it’s more individual.

My first was the Swiss Champ in the "SOS" kit. Have had the thing for 30+ years but cracked one of the scales (and bent the corkscrew somewhat..."repetitive stress"?) . Victorinox refurbished the thing as good as new, including replacing all of the accessories that came in the SOS kit. I collect the things now that I actually have a "disposable income" and there are a number of models of a similar size (cybertool etc.) but the Champ remains my favorite,. The larger monsters are more for show and rather impractical...but I own several...just because!

@mitchellgardner21935 жыл бұрын
@It’s ya boy Hmm, maybe try "tsa confiscated knife lot", i wouldn't buy any of the grab bag deals tho, it seems like a good deal at first glance, but if you read the description it'll say "You'll receive atleast 1 victorinox sak in good condition, 1 chinese no brand knife, 1 corkscrew wine bottle opener tool, 1 multitool, etc.. So you'll probably only end up with 1 or 2 decent knives out of the lot, however.. the lots that show you exactly what you're getting can be good deals.

I'm on my third, The first was a gift from my son but was stolen by a professional packing company when I moved back from overseas and the second was lost by Air China along with my luggage. I've also bought another two as gifts. My Swiss Champ generally stays in my car and gets used frequently while I always carry an Alox Mini Champ with me. To supplement that I have around 30 different SAK's I choose from including some I've customised to make out of production models or combinations that have never been available. For example the Deluxe Tinker is great but even better with a corkscrew. I built the collection buying once every few months when prices are at their lowest and bought a Camper yesterday for less than £19 instead of £33. I always get the bargains by studying the prices which can vary enormously. The Heidi Shop in Switzerland can also be a good source and occasionally the London shop.

@TheEmporiumOutdoors6 жыл бұрын
They are really useful knives. The none locking blade design was to allow sales of them in places like England and bypass the offensive weapons laws. Even in experienced hands using the blade to pierce something makes the non-locking blade unstable (by design). I have other locking blade SAK knifes and they are a great improvement. Best wishes Michael & Esme!

Hi John - They are amazingly useful and some of the small details I love the best. I can't count how many splinters I've removed with the small pin under the cork screw in conjunction with the small magnifying lens. They look bulky and unwieldy but in a pinch they offer so many possibilities. Thanks for commenting!
@johnossendorf99797 жыл бұрын
Mine is pre-pin & hook, so I'v always kept the small blade razor sharp for use as a scalpel. I do have a Huntsman Lite with the pin & hook. The pin is nice and takes up zero space. As for the hook I am undecided about how useful it is to me. The light is underwhelming compared to coin battery key chain lights I'v had, although good enough to find a key hole. Had to get the lite to have the Phillips on the end and not amidships. At the moment I'm thinking I would trade the light for the magnifying glass and the hook for the chisel.
@TheEmporiumOutdoors7 жыл бұрын
I think i have used the hook once for pulling some electrical cable out of a tight conduit - so I'd trade it for something else too! Thanks for commenting back!

I really liked this video a lot because it highlights something I really believe in. Meaning, the debate between Victorinox SAK an the Leatherman multitool rages about “which is better”. It’s my belief that the best tool is the one you’re most familiar with. Which firearm is best for self defense? Which martial art is most effective in a fight? Which is better, Victorinox or Leatherman? I’m confident the answer is, the tool you know the best and have the most experience with is going to be YOUR best choice. A guy with 20 years experience with the Swiss Champ will get more done (and faster), than a guy who just bought the latest model of multitool.

Just bought one with black scales, for just £57, with free next day delivery. So these have effectively come down in price compared to 22 years ago. It's more of a multitool to accompany a folder like a Spyderco Urban which although non-locking has a finger choil designed in such a way that it's virtually impossible to close it by accident on your fingers. Also I often carry a Knipex Cobra XS in addition to that for heavy plier work, also it deals with nuts and bolts far better than any pliers multitool or even dedicated needlenose pliers, which are not designed for that anyway.
