i like how in this game, each obstacle builds off the last, so in theory if you made it past the last obstacle, it's possible to keep going, but once you're at the end of the game it's just crazy hard for practically every jump

Hey don’t know if I’ve missed it, have the brothers TRIED the “roll of a ledge into jump” coyote time thing? Did I miss them discussing this or trying it out in a previous episode?

They’ve discussed it and also tried to execute it but with poor results. Even regular rolling into enemies has been hard for them to consistently do successfully. The roll jump requires precisely timed input from each of them so it’s hard with 3 people trying to pull it off. Travis needs to roll off the ledge and Griffin needs to jump and the Justin needs to aim and land. All of that while they’re dodging obstacles and enemies before they leap, in the air and after they land. Hard stuff

33:03 I absolutely love to watch the brothers struggle; the rush of excitement when they accomplish the impossible is what I'm here for. That being said, I kind of feel like they've already "ruined" DK Country by using the save states on other levels, so I'm not going to be too bummed out if they keep using them for the rest of the game. Hoping Griffin and Justin hold the line more on no saves outside of checkpoints for the next Three Hearts playthrough though, whichever game they choose.

I would guess they're constantly battling the anxiety of enforcing the rule strictly vs keeping people entertained (i was entertained regardless, just figure that's the mindset). in my unsolicited opinion they should do whatever keeps them in the game

watching the brothers VEHEMENTLY REFUSE TO LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES is what makes this so grueling. Infuriating how they won't learn the mechanics of the platforms. you need FORWARD momentum with the jumps or else the platform moves you backward and you can't clear it. they keep bashing their heads against the wall saying the jump is impossible, while also not trying ANY new methods D: this is emotionally damaging
