I played this game, but never made it this far. I had no idea how brutally hardcore DK got! I had the same revelation about the original Crash Bandicoot recently. 90s platformers were just a different beast.

Things load directly off screen based on your position. When you're on a moving platform your position on that platform is why it seems like there is variance on the loading. The correct play for that bee btw is to ride the platform down and under and jump up. It's the route I always did as a kid.

I think at the conclusion of this game the brothers should do a tri-cast of each of them playing the game as individuals in a race with each other for some sort of prize yet to be determined. They're either going to be completely sick as individuals, or weirdly incompetent since they're used to relying on others and I'd love to find out which.

I find it a little hard to follow along with the Donkey Kong stuff, Mario was visually easier to pick out what's happening when three brothers are playing. Really liked the mario vids, jusst can't get into these ones!
