Looking at this closer I was mistaken. There's no checkpoint in the front door version, but if you take secret exit for an earlier level you can get into the back door, which starts you in the disco room and has a checkpoint gate in front of the boss door.@@cutechelsea0

Yeah, this whole format is simply brilliant and deserves its own series branding and title; save "Victory McElroyale" for battle royale and competitive games... I WOULD say "Super McElroy Brothers" is good, but limiting! Any platformer or classic 2D game with enough controls to be split 3 ways should be on the table, not just Mario games! "3 Brothers 1 Controller"? Getting everyone on ACTUAL controllers with unnecessary key bindings selectively blacked out so no one can accidentally do stuff might also help formalize what I must stress again is EXREMELY good content ya'll! Tackle Mario 3 next, maybe without whistles/warps?

I tuned in for the last 10 minutes, just enough to listen to them bemoan how it had been an hour and half since they ENTERED Bowser's castle, and then scatter like a family of racoons that suddenly had the kitchen light turned on. Shoutout to Griffin "I was a different man then" McElroy who, low and behold upon actually watching, at the hour mark is convincing his brothers to soldier on, with false promises of needing to leave in 23 minutes. Oh my sweet sweet boys, may the christian lord hold us all through what I can only imagine is going to be a shot for shot remake of the 90 minute feature film The Descent as we climb through hell together, only to emerge where we began.

I think not rewinding is part of the challenge. They're also only quicksaving to avoid making long trips in the level select area, but within each level they aren't letting themselves use it.

If you're noticing skips in the VOD it is likely due to lag creating gaps in what was recorded, from my understanding. Specifically, Griffin getting hit by lag seems to be the worst culprit. It happened in Trial By Fieri, too, when he was switching cameras too much!
